Ohhh Lordy where to start.. Rear window motor is on the way out, no heater, intermittent skipping, crappy brakes, and now thanks to a locked down tensioner pully no power steering till I can get one tomorrow( along with new heater core)

Here we go:
No washer fluid reservoir due to a battery acid destroyed washer motor. AC compressor needs to be replaced. Tires are almost bald and dry rotted. Rear springs are nearly flat. Oil pan leaks a little oil. LOTS of dents.
But with under 165,000, she's got PLENTY of life yet.

Nothing to report broken only in in need of maintenance. Have a tie rod end knocking, my next apparent lesson in rock crawler repair. Just glad it's high steer instead of one that's tucked up inside a bunch of crap you really don't need to deal with.

Welding is a skill I don't have yet but it's definitely on my list of things to learn. I have a wire feed welder its a Hobart my dad gave it to me, he was supposed to teach me but just never had the time. Lucky for me I have friends that know how to weld or my awesome little truck would be grounded.

No back brakes need drums and shoes on a duellly axle.
Tracking and wheel balance.
Find hole in rad filler neck as coolant goes out and air comes in. have replaced all pipes. have a good rad that seals.
New exhaust soon bad rust on all silencer joins
front shocks as very little damping.
Sure to find more if i start to dig for faults

Currently fighting one of many...This I'd my first differential issue..and I've got a lot of verticle play on the passenger side axle. The diff is out and the cover is off and I cant seem to figure out how to get the axle out..I looked for rings inside and out... Don't see anything... What am I missing?

Just get some scrap steel and try welding. Make sure it's not galvanized. Or stainless. And go to town. Remember to keep moving. Don't stop and hold it in one place. If the wire gets "frozen" and you can move t. Break it off so you can grind away and start over. The secret to learning to weld is knowing how to grind. That being said I still suck at it. But I am getting better with practice. My buddy welds all my important stuff for me at the moment.

There is an expansion ring that you can't see.

Fishguy: OK I will gather up some scrap and just go for it. Update on truck : replaced the u joint today with some help from some friends. It was a lot easier than I thought. The hardest part was getting the old one out. To be totally honest I watched mostly but I know now how to do it. All of the vibration and scary squeaks and rattles are gone my awesome little truck is back.

It is awesome and I agree that YouTube is a great source for a lot but there are some things that are better learned from an experienced individual (s) that is one of the reasons I joined Yotatech. The collaborative of experience here can't be found anywhere else on the planet. I just hope that I will be able to share the knowledge that I have gained here with someone just like me. I asked for a Yotatech sticker for my truck for Christmas because without Yotatech I would have been lost in the progress with my truck. Thank you for your help and support Fish.
