transfer case growl

transfer case growls whether in 4wd or hubs locked does not do in 2wd with hubs free. more of a low fluid sound case diffs and hubs are not getting hot. thinking its a bearing in there but not sure. how much would it cost to rebuild a transfer case? could it be something wrong with the front end? maybe hubs are need to be repacked with grease? 1980 yota pickup 22r ?transmission and transfer case?

that is your double cardan joint and ther is a little ball on a post in there ther is also a little dust sheild that is inside that might be making the noise you can get the inner ball from napa or murls drivline in spokane.there are 2 sizes
napa pn for the rebild kits are
.467 ball stud puj 613
.513 ball stud puj 614 cost 51.00
murls was only like 30 or 40 bucks
