I Suppose that I should start with my first truck. When I was 16 my father helped me buy a lift and tires for his 98 tacoma he passed down to me. After getting my license putting in speakers and putting in a CB I soon started to take the truck out and play. Starting with "county line" a long dirt road not far from my house I started to make new friends who showed me local wheeling trails and the mud pits...the thing to do when your 16. At school there was another, older, kid who had a for high school standards build rig. Sliders, locker, bedside exhaust exit and best of all it was SASed. I would say he helped introduce me to the world or rock crawling. Without money for sliders and learning of some actually mean trails close to home I dented the hell out of my old mans truck. I decided there must be something better and smarter than beating my daily. Hours and hours of research helped me settle on building a purpose built crawler. I learned as much as I could in hopes of having a great bulletproof build. This lead to my father and I starting a small business parting out second gen toyotas to fund my project. Not too long after turning 17 I bought "wendy" my completely stock 86 toyota pickup with 382k and no motor but nice paint and good body. On easter I bought a motor with equally high miles. Turned out after installing it with bullet proof TG mounts (wish i would have bought 4x innovation mounts) it had a blown HG so i rebuilt the 22r with a head with 140k. It runs well but has always pledged me with Carb issues fuel line issues but always ran great otherwise. Ill skip the SAS bullcrap. You know what thats about. Been threw 4 pairs of tires. 33s,35,38 and today i bought some like new 40 creepy crawlers for 1600 with warranty for the next step in the build. Earlier this week i made the step to a ruff stuff ford 9 links etc. A few weeks ago i took advantage of marlins sale and bought a case adapter and brought a extra case from home. (Just moved from Washington to Cheyenne for Ag Business school) I picked up a few other sale items and some harnesses from Jegs. Specs currently are 22r with a awful webber carb a w56B dual cases with 4.7s stock axles RUF with taco rotors and ifs hubs(must do if your going to sas) f150 springs in the rear. Custom rear bumper bobbed 14 inches. I love the truck its been fun.

My plans moving forward: Ruff Stuff ford 9 with king pin C's chromo shafts links and for the rear im going to narrow a sterling 10.25. Ive got 40s i just picked up and some other goodies on the way. Ill continue to post when stuff arrives. I could really use input on coilovers. Thinking FOA. Also going to address my power issue (39hp/72lbs.tq) by swapping in a 7M supra motor as it seems simple inexpensive and powerful.

Today after finishing up my GF heater core in her tacoma I planned on getting a Sterling 10.25 to start on my rear. So I down to Cheyenne wrecking, Unfortunately google lied and they were closed when I showed up. I will try again on Monday. I have a shop I found threw work that I plan on having set up my gears. Still looking for a drive flange adapter.
