Rear Defogger Not Working. PLEASE HELP!

While driving this morning, My rear window im my 1995 4 runner got all fogged up and could not see a thing out of it. I turned on the rear window defogger switch, and nothing. After comming back home, I had noticed a plug in my passenger side rear window was unpluged. I was led to belive that this plug was for an antenner or some sort. My question is, could this be the plug for my rear window defogger. Please help. The switch does light up when I turn it on. If this plug is not for my defogger, where would I look next. Does it have a fuse of any type. I'm thinking that being the switch lights up, the fuse is good, but my not be the case. Any help please.

Nope - it's all built in the tailgate. (That plug is indeed for the second antenna)

Most of the time it's the switch. There's a ton of info on here - do a search on "rear window defroster".

If you have the problem before you can get it fixed, just roll down your back window and roll it back up. The weather stripping usually takes off the condensation.

I hguess my next question is then, What do I look for next, and is there a fuse for it.

yea, myne has the same problem, but eric is right, just roll down the window and it goes away, much easier than looking for the problem

edit: oh yea, and if u find the problem, post it, cause i would be interested in fixing it if its a simple fuse or something, i just havent had enough time to do anything lately.

So has mine.

Not simple fix - somehow the plugs came unsoldered from the traces...
