Hilux Surf Exhaust

A question to anyone with a hilux surf, I am putting an intercooler in myn and was wondering where I could get a new exhaust system locally? I live in BC, any help would be great.

I had a custom 2.5" exhaust system made for my Surf at minute muffler. Make sure you keep a flex pipe in the mix or the boys from OZ say you will have troubles at the ex manifold. I just put in a cheap cherry bomb style muffler and it sounded good...turbo keeps it from being too loud. Total cost in 2004 was $550 (the damn flex pipe was $100 of that). The only bummer was the local guys couldn't figure out how to make a 3" downpipe fit so I had to go 2.5" the whole way.

$850 is kinda high. I guess it depends on how nice the work is, but I'd reserve that kinda money for a exhaust on a show car.

On the up side, at least here in the states prices for this kinda work has come down a bit. There is a lot of competition for work right now, that seams to be driving the prices down with out hurting the quality of the work.

yes, that is also another thing that makes my exhaust system price seem high....we pay more for the same things in our Domestic dollar. a set of tires cost you 600USD, where the equivalent would cost us 1000 CDN. we have totally different markets.
