anybody got a picture of a 90-95 4Runner with stock rear coils and 2" spacers ONLY? ( as in no front lift )

 

Ok I have tried searching... I am new to the site and dumb when it comes to car maintenance... Can someone link me to a "how to" thread on the LC80 coils. I found the one on the 4crawler site for the bj spacers. I think I can do that... think...

If anyone is in NC - Raleigh or Charlotte area and wanted to help... that would be SWEET! I can provide all the beer and pizza you can handle!

I pmed a guy on some LC coils on here... so I may be ready to do this soon. I read through the whole thing and saw a couple of "oh i did it in a hour... with 1 wrench" and some I had coil compressors and all this other stuff....

Someone please help a newb!

 

LC coils are very easy to install... all you need to do is jack up the rear end, put huge jack stands on the FRAME RAILS, lower the jack onto the stands but keep the axle under the axle. disconnect the shocks, sway bar and the panhard... then lower the jack to the ground. ( the axle should flex down and the coils will become loose... use coil spring compressors to uninstall them, if they aren't easy to get out. compress the LC coils and install. button it all back up, then decompress the coils and you're done.

Another question... I see some folks that have lengthened brake lines and others who havent. I understand about the LSPV... but do I need to plan to lengthen the line. I have replaced one brake line in the past and it was the full line and I do NOT want to do that again... are there simple extensions I could use?

 

ok guys I have a 91 4Runner Auto,just ordered my 31" BF Goodrich All-Terrain K/O ... did the calculations and i will be getting 2inches of lift from tires, now to get .5 -1 inch more, is it easier just to crank torsion bars?? or is there a better way. working on tight budget?? a

great idea, I will do the ball joint spacers.
going to order them now. do I need (4) total. set for front and set for rear?.... anything else that is a must with the spacers? and finally will i need new shocks or springs in the back if I do the spacers....

That was a factory option back in the day, 31" tire option, so it'll look pretty much stock. I think this 2nd gen has maybe 31" or 32" tires:

 

ya thats perfect it, gives me an idea now, mine looks so much different though lol, see i have 27's on there now, so to go to 31 wont it give me a bit of lift? i think i should go with those spacers aswell. thanks for quick reply!!!! i will post a pic of mine soooon,,,

I've got a question, I've got a '90, automatic transmission, I've already got BJ spacers and LC coils, does anyone know of anything I can add for a little more lift? I know the auto tranny means no body lifts, is it possible to lift it any more than what I have?

Automatics and body lifts are not an issue. 1" works as-is, over that, add A/T linkage brkts:
