yea the LCE looks like what im going to get. does that kit come with the pipe between the headers and the cat? my setup i have now i have the stock manifold comes down and then where the cat converter should be i have a magnaflow muffler with a turn down behind it. sounds awesome. in that pic it looks like the tubing is included. if it is i wont have to go to the muffler shop. i do have a nice low end. maybe the trd ones would help me out with mid/top end. then again downeys good all the way around. ahhhh im confused

In the end I chose the LCE because it was stanilesss and ceramic, and cheaper than the downey, and better quality. I have run the Downey, so this will be a good comparison.

It does come with the pipe that goes between the header and cat, with the stock 2 bolt cat flange.

so wait your running no cat? even with the cat my Hedman headers and Dynomax muffler combo isn't emmissions friendly, how the heck do you pass with no cat, and in cali. on top of that? wont the govenator kill you if he finds out?

Nope no head gasket, but it does come with a exhaust manifold gasket :pat:

I agree with shawn, why no cat. IME no cat sucked worse that having one.

i just passed smog in january. so according to california law i need to pass every two years. so i took it off for increased air flow and to make it louder. i welded on little bolt on flanges so if needed (or get caught again) i can bolt the entire sysem back together. entire system including the cat where its supposed to go(under the cab) and the muffler back under the bed where its supposed to go. right now that muffler is up where the cat was under the cab with a turn down on it. sounds amazing. not legal, deadly fumes, but sounds good. thinking of building a tail pipe to get the fumes more towards the back of the truck.

darth,

this is not something you should do nor brag about online. we have a lot of people online here who are not your protypical enviro-nuts, but care about what we leave for our children and our children's children.

cats and emission controls are there for a reason.

but obviously, you don't care about these things, but for your sake, i am closing this thread down lest you really get an earful from some of the other members. if you have an issue with this, please take it offline with me or any of the other mods.
