Sliders with dropdown\removable steps?
I searched and have not found anything. Here is my situation, yesterday coming home from work I got the great news that I am going to be a father. (I'm still trying to settle that thought in). My girlfriend is 5' 1" and she can get in my truck fine for now but once I add my lift in a couple of weeks it is going to make thinks a bit more interesting while she is pregnant.
I have a buddy who is going to fab me up some sliders and was going to get him to fab a set of dropdown or removable steps on it to make getting in and out of the 4runner a bit easier for my g/f. Curious if any of yall have any suggestions on how to make it work or have seen something similar done.

I saw a set with a removable step the other day, (or the passenger) but i think it was on a FZJ-80 LC, but i know it is possible, just make it a U shape, and have it hook onto the slider (secure it any way)

step stool is doable... mini van.. I would have to get a chevy 4x4 1/2 ton van... and then lift it and we would be back to choice two. Pick her up while she is pregnant.. may not be too safe for the babys sake.

Nah, most pregnant women are still quite agile...and do other things a lot more strenuous than being picked up...unless she gets fat as a cow and you might DROP her...then it might get dangerous.

But I do know what you mean...that is why my wife has a mini-van!

Well, the only reason why I was wanting something to be fabbed with the sliders is so that I can just drop it down and put it back up. As opposed to having a step stool sliding around in the back of my 4runner driving me insane. Plus having to go put down the back window to get the stool out everytime she's going to get in would just would start to get old very quickly.
Plus the steps would also help her after the pregnancy to get in the truck. The reason why I said I would like it removable is so I can take it of when I go wheeling so it does not get thrashed. I'll keep my head on the drawing board and hopefully I can come up with something.

do what i said earlier, a U shapped tube, which can hook onto the slider, mabye even bolt on from the top (can remove them when you go wheeling) or do whatever way of keeping it there that you would like

One guy added bolt-on (and off) steps to a set of my Rock SliderZ:

You can just make your slider a running board style.
Maybe this will give you ideas for your build
