So after thumbing a Haynes repair manual from front to back and reading a ton of useless (to me) forums regarding my 95 T100 --
How the heck do you remove the anti-theft system? I'm assuming that's what the toggle switch is for. It's located on the side wall underneath the dash. Also, where there's space for auxiliary switches is a red light that's constantly on.
Without knowing just what kind it is pretty difficult .
Where did you get the truck ?? Most sellers give the Alarm Paperwork to the new owner unless there real mean!!!
Get a copy of the EWD (electrical wiring diagrams) return it to all stock.
My husband picked it up from a friend who told him that it was an alarm system. It doesn't look like a prolock one. I'm going to attempt to take out the paneling to figure it out. Hopefully tracing back the wiring will reveal what is going on.
I'm definitely not throwing more parts at this truck as I'm finding it hard to actually find the correct parts. You'd think the OEM Toyota model numbers would help, but they really don't.
Also, Best Buy would be the nearest "car stereo" place in my area.
Are you sure you need to "remove" the system? If it's triggering the vehicles horn, probably. But if it has it's own siren (probably very easy to find under the hood), you could start by just disconnecting that.
The fancier the alarm system, the more trouble (we hope!) you'll have working around it. It might have an engine cut-off or door re-locker. But it might just be a noise maker.

The switch just kills the ignition and a repeative clicking noise can be heard. Basic system. The only way to get it to stop is to disconnect the negative terminal on the battery.
So -- an absolute NO to the bells and whistles alarm. It's almost like it's an inertia switch that was put in aftermarket.
My best hope is to find out how it's wired and just eliminating the toggle switch. Right now, we've put in new O2 sensors and MAF to try and fixed the P0170 code. I'm picking up a new fuel injection pressure sensor and VSV today. I don't know the life span on some of these, but at 20 years old, I'm sure it's on it's way out. The same can be said for my 95 Tahoe and 98 Sonoma. The vehicle that's giving me the least trouble is the 98 S10.
It's an omega alarm. Ripped out the brains. Will have to bypass the relay so it'll actually start properly. Preferably during daylight hours and not when I have to work in the morning.
I think I'm having the same issue with my 89 Pickup, I have a blinking red light and a ticking sound almost like a turn signal. I think it's sometimes killing my ignition because my battery and starter are fine. Anyone had any luck with this problem or should I try tracking down the wiring? I popped the panel off and found two wires but don't want to ruin anything or make it worse.
Cut the blue wire, with the yellow stripe. Whatever you do, DON'T cut the black wire with the white stripe. ("The Abyss", 1989)
You almost certainly have a custom alarm installation. Depending on how good a job the installer did, you may find a rats next of vampire taps. You just have to un-do what the installer did.
