The rain was falling for most part of the day but I was able to get some new perches made for my trailer thanks to my friend Eric who works at a Machine shop.

This tool is awesome and one of many cool ones they have. Got to love the digital x-y axis monitor

The 5 in this (0.0005) represents equivalent to a human hair I believe he told me if not a bit smaller. Dont quote me on that statement but its damn close to perfect and that's about all I know

Since it was raining I didnt get more pics of the trailer being put back together but I installed the new brakes, and repacked the bearings and put it all back together.
It tows really good now compared to before which was nice but after testing it today it felt much better than before. Its a 40/60 split from the tongue of the trailer and I can now drive between the wheels and have better weight distribution thus aiding in the towing.

Fenders may come together this week if I can get the time and the weather is better for it. Gotta piss the neighbors off before its gone right???
I should be able to tow my truck within the week or early next week to the shop but youve all heard that before I will though this time not only cause I want to but I have to.

Got some fenders, d-rings, and fenders today from Freeway trailers in Milton.

Heres how it looks.

I still need to gusset it in a few spots, paint the fenders and add a bit more decking. But I can tow with how it is right now

Also had some time today to teach my little sister how to weld.

They were amazing welds for her first time. I was very impressed

Hope to have the truck on the trailer tomorrow and to the shop monday after work

Ya really. Shes pretty damn tuff. I still want to get another mask and I think her and my little brother need some gear. They both really want to do it.

Close off the back side of those fenders. That way nothing can slip down and be pulled into the tires

Rear straps.

There are 4 10k axle straps on all conners. I towed it yesterday to test it and it tows amazing and tows very straight just like it should.

I should have it down to the shop after work tommorow

All thats really left on the trailer is I need some new tires and some wood to finish the deck

Thanks and I know its about time to get the damn thing running again

I took it to the shop to have them take a look at it today and there guess at the moment is timing. Bad news about that is that if it is off then I most likely have bent Valves. Big time problem if thats the case

It seems I take a step forward and 10 steps back. Im gonna pull the cover this week to take a look and hopefully I dont have to pull the heads again. Thats would royally suck not to mention cost alot of money if I have to replace the valves. Will see I guess with that soon. I also want to comp. test it first.

Well back to my cause my head hurts from thinking about it at the moment. and I cant really work on it right now.

Updates soon to come

Lets try this again. My comp sucks somtimes

Anyway

What I dont like about this setup after talking to others and thinking about it more is that the ford tank beeing flat and wide like it is the chance for being on sidehills or any angles for that matter is that the pickup cannot reach the gas.

My plan to fix this is run an external MSD fuel pump that has close to the same power (its a bit more power but not enough to hurt anything plus I can use my stock regulator) and ill mod a floating pickup in the tank to collect the gas on the steepest of hills. Ill do this mod soon when I can and if you go with this tank I would highly recommend a mod like this otherwise you may run into problems on the trail. Just a heads up on the subject

Heres a pick of the unit from MSD

Its about $95

You should look for some foam like used in race fuel cells, to reduce splash, noise etc, In place of tank baffling. I'll find that email and post it, i found a company that manufactures it, but have to find a retailer....soo...

I got some Allpro leaf springs as for shocks they are 12" not sure on length really of the front but I can maybe get it tomorrow but the rears are 56" long.

Ill have to check it out. Ill dig more into the subject once I get it running again.

As for does it run yet... NO still working on it. I pulled the timing cover to discover the timing was done . I pulled the valve covers and found I need to pull the heads. I broke a keyway on the cam pulley and have a good long work ahead of me. Ive got to pull the heads and basically rebuild them again. I hope to have them pulled tomorrow and ill get some pics I took up as soon as I put them on the comp. I hope to have the heads pulled and worked on hopefully fixed by the end of the next week but I cant really say how long till I pull the heads and see the full extent of the problem. I feel like but once im out driving it again all the work till this point should make me feel like

Long time without some updates.

I pulled the motor completely this last weekend. Took a few hours. I removed the oil relocation kit and decided with my oiling issue at the moment i should just leave it simplle. Plus its easy anyway The Kit also I believe was part of my issue.

I bought new heads which are gonna be cleaned, decked and tested before i install it. I hope this week or following weekend I should posibly be able to drive the beast again

In the mean time here is some of the damage

Driver cam is free spinning due to the fact it sheered the dowl pin in the cam

Motor being taken apart again

Brand new crank pully damage

Not mine but Eric's 22re on 35's damage the drive shaft was very weak I cant believe how weak they made it after telling the shop it was for rock crawling

The solution

I also had some time this weekend to do some more body work

Front bumper is off and for SALE BTW (Local only please)
Also trimmed the front head light area and fenders the way ive wanted them all via

Need another sunny day to paint and hide away some wiring

A stinger bumper will come soon as ill need something to protect the front

All this body work should work perfectly for when comes time to cage the thing.
While the motor was out i also finished some needed welds and other misc stuff to improve on the setup when it come times to through it all back in
