I have got to get something running, been way too long since I've gone out.

 

we are in for the gas station coming from maricopa so might need to top off with some petrol

 

I say we all meet up at the gas station then - so we all get a chance to top off and pick up any last minute sancks or ice or whatever. I'll be there around 10 - I typically park in that lot that is just beyond the gas pumps. I will be on CB channel 16. Hey everyone! Wow this thread has gotten hot. I started it when I was in college then I moved to CA and fell off for a while. I'm back in AZ (Phoenix) and I wanted to know is it too late to get in on the Sunday run?

 

Bob, once you make the left from Fountain Hills onto the 87 it will be the gas station on the right hand side across from Fort McDowell Casino see you there ill be in a grey 4runner ill also be with Roni and his 2nd gen 4runner

Had a blast out there today. So glad I'm a yotatech-er, can't wait for the next run.

Sucks that I missed this trip, but maybe we could plan another one for two weeks from now? At least then Ill have money! Never been to butcher jones, and plus I want to take a buddy of mine wheelin' out here.

Nate - I didn't get too many pics, but I'll post up what I got when I get home tonite.

 

I'm thinking about doing an afternoon/evening run out to Butcher Jones on the 22nd. Head out around 2 or 3, wheel around out to the 5th cove just for fun, maybe settle in at the 3rd cove, watch the sunset, have a little bonfire, enjoy a beer or 2, make some s'mores. Then head home around....whenever everyone is ready to.

Everything is free. They told me that they are planning on pulling out for the trail runs at 9, so i am going to try to be there by 8.

There will be 3 trail runs:
Advanced: requiring at least 35's, lockers and lots of armor: Upper and Lower Ajax
Intermediate: Martinez Cabins.
Beginner: TBD
they will have free air up station at the base camp as well. All you need to do is call one of the Arizona 4 Wheel Parts locations and register, again - everything is free!
