Okay guys...
So on the way out of Butcher Jones I was hearing some kind of faint banging noise under the rear driver side wheel well but could not figure it out. Well apparently I did a real half *** job at checking things over because today I found this...

My rusty old shock decided it was going to just pop off!!
This is why I always look the truck over the next day after wheeling. This really sucks but to be honest I don't really see it as a set back...more of a slap in the face for not replacing them sooner because I knew I needed to replace them when I got the truck 1 year ago! Noticed a difference in the ride on the way to work today so I knew something was up.
Well I'm hoping to get this fixed and behind me as soon as possible. No more procrastinating...
If possible I would like to go with OME just like the stabilizer.
So as far as a run goes...looks like I'm done till this gets fixed. Hopefully this gets fixed fast because after replacing my ball joints the truck drives like a dream and I fell in love with it all over again.

AssYriaNrocKer- That's too bad about the shock. Looks like it had a full life though. I always look at broken parts as an opportunity to upgrade, so I almost get excited in a sick way when something breaks.
phoenixheat_2002- Sorry to hear about your mud run. Fortunately, rocks never dry up
. We'll have to hit the trails sometime when the weather cools down.

Jeff, where are you getting your gears done and what ratio are you going with? I just ordered new 5.29's and am hoping I can wait until Zuk opens up shop again to have them set up right. Its not something that I trust just any shop to do, so I put a lot of weight in references from trusted sources.

After dozens of conversations with many very knowledgeable people - including Ken (ZUK) - I decided to go with 4.88's.
I talked to Ken the other day and he said he would do mine for me when I'm ready, but Will is cutting me such a great day I couldn't say no.
Drop Ken an email and ask. I don't think he is going officially re-open his shop, but he said that because I am local and he has done work for me before that he would take care of me. He said that I just need to bring him the 3rds and he could do it.

Nice. I'm sure you'll be happy with 4.88's, especially with the 5 speed. Your truck is really coming along! I'm not going to be able to keep up the next time we go out!
Thanks. Zuk is surely my first choice so it's at least worth asking.

Naw man...think I'm just going to roll the way it is until I get the OME kit. I think I will be okay...just going to work and back. (I'm trying to pinch every penny to get the kit A.S.A.P) like I said...hopefully 2-3 weeks....I'm thinking about getting the torsion bars as well...........

well see where I'm at in 2-3 weeks though...
as far as this weekend goes, going to have to count me out on man. Shes going to get plenty of rest before getting the new suspension. MAN I CAN'T FREEGIN WAIT!! I think about it every day!!lol
