Local Parts

I was cleaning up my garage and have the following parts that I am going to sell cheap & locally thru craigslist this weekend:

First gen doors, electric window regulators, door glass, rear wiper motor ass'y with all hardware, rotors, knuckles, hubs (not the 4WD dials but the actual outer hubs), front diff with 4.10 gears.

We should also use this thread as the local used parts store to keep stuff *in house*.

PM if interested in anything.

That's a great a great idea Bob. However we should make another thread for local for sale items. This way it will keep this thread less cluttered. I got some stuff around the garage I would like to sell also.

Funny. I never even realized there was an 'Arizona' forum, I just subscribed and hit the email link

A separate thread is a better idea.

Anyone got a link or directions to the 4 Wheel parts shindig in Florence this Sunday? I'm not at all familiar with the East side and not sure what to look for once I get out to the US60 and 79 area....

I posted all that info in this thread a few days ago - its post #821:

I'll be out there around 8ish - if you want to meet up and roll out there with us let me know! I'll be going through Queen Creek to meet up with some other friends.

I saw #821, but it just said "Florence/Box Canyon South East of Phoenix..." I just have never been out that way so I don't want to miss a turn off...is it well marked? I'm gonna try and get the girls up early to make it out by 8ish...

Did you call and let them know you're coming? That flyer says you need to call ahead and register. When I called they gave me an exact address that I'm gonna GPS.

Heres a map I found on my friends FB page:

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Christ...izona&t=m&z=13

The guys from Copperstate 4Wheelers will leading all the trail runs. Apparently the Martinez Cabin area is closed.

perfect map, I did call and register...still not sure if I'll actually do runs yet. Trucks been making odd sounds from the rear end ever since I did that water crossing @ lake Pleasant last weekend. Not sure if my lockers didn't dis-engage correctly or what. Also threw a check engine code for mis-fire in bank 3 which turned out to be false but I'm still a bit nervous to push too hard until I get a chance to go through everything with lube/fluids...

Have you ever been wheeling out in Florence? Its beautiful out there. I'm definatly going to do some runs, just not sure which. My friends that I'm meeting up with will most likely do the most difficult ones there are because they have a Cherokee with 10" lift, 37's, welded diffs and an exo-cage.

If you want, you can ride along with me - as of right now, it looks like I'm heading out there solo.

nope, never been to the East side. Looking forward to checking it out. Been looking at some of the videos on youtube of Florence/box canyon and...um...yikes! I'll probably wheel a little, but nothing crazy...still my DD.

Box Canyon is fairly easy espeically if you have a locker. I got there all the time and never have any issues.

Anyone else coming to the 4 Wheel Parts Customer Appreciation thing in Florence tomorrow?? I'll be there with my 4Runner and my friends in their big black Cherokee

This might be it....

I shook hands on a deal for a 97' 4Runner last night. It's an SR5 with leather interior (not my first choice) with power every thing. It has 180k miles with a manual transfer and manual gear box. It doesn't have a rear electric locker which is what I was hoping to find, but a lockright should do just fine for me. It does have a Revtek 2" lift to it so that part is already done...the key to this whole story is it has to be a weekend warior and will more likely be used as a daily driver. I just hope the gas mileage is good on these 3.4L's. It seemed to drive just fine and the price was on the lower end of my alotted range. Soooo, unless I find another one that's exactly what I want or the seller back's out, it should be sitting in my driveway by the end of day tomorrow. Shortly there after, the mod's will begin with the first one being the most common of ripping those damn running boards off and welding up a set of Avid Offroad slider's (the boss already approved this mod)....however, as money becomes available they should continue.

Now, I definitely need to hit a trail for an initial shake down and see what need's to be done to prioritize a list. I know Jeff'll be down for a day run next weekend (if he's not busy) but who else is in? Mind you, I'll still be on the street tires that it come's with...but it should be fine. Hopefully we can set something up....Saturday or Sunday....Sunday being best.
