Mine is not quite in-cab, comes into the cowl area, but some pictures below:

I have heard that having the intake in the cab is quite loud, so unless it is a trail-only type rig, probably not a first choice.

use it or lose it

Where I live the beach was once the only highway to get from the south end of the island to the north (there are roads now).

I own property on the old beach road so we still have access to it even though its all parks nowadays

To get to my cabin I have to cross 2 rivers and 3 creeks, and they can get flowing pretty good in the wet season around sept oct nov haha. A snorkel is a must, I have pulled alot of trucks off the beach that were swamped, and those were the lucky ones.

but having a snorkel and a fully sealed electrical system isnt always enough, once I started floating down the river while attempting a rather hairy crossing, thank god I bounced my way along the bottom to the other side without rolling it TOYOTA!

so... knowing the limitations of your vehicle is also a good waterproofing technique

No, I couldn't pull him out...yes I did give him a ride 30miles back to civilization. I have a snorkel, he probably does on his new truck!

The snorkel on our truck is more to feed the Super Charger more/better air, but we seem to find lots of water to cross here in AZ. I printed up a photo album of water crossings for my girl to keep in the truck because of all the sarcastic comments she gets from people about the snorkel....
