New bumpers front and back :)

New bumpers front and back :)
Finally got some bumpers on that will not fold under the pressure of a small hit hehe. Ordered up a tube basher bumper from Badland Bumpers a couple weeks ago and now it's painted and installed. I needed to trim the center top plate just a little so the Milemarker Hyd 9,000 lb could sit forward enough. Everything bolted up like it should after that.
Only problems I have with this bumper are somewhat sloppy looking welds on parts of it. Also, the driver's side turn signal was broken off when it got here! Now this is probably the shipping company's fault for breaking it off but it shouldn't have been able to break off in the first place. The bead of the weld was too high up on the bracket to penetrate into the main bumper. I just welded it back on so it was an easy fix.
So other than the somewhat sloppy looking welds and the turn signal light bracket breaking off in shipping, this seems to be a fairly sturdy bumper and I'm happy with it. I'll probably add some more mounting points to the frame just to make it more secure. Don't feel like having this thing pull off the front of my truck
Here's one of the welds that too me, is sloppy looking. I'm sure it'll hold just fine but it looks like two people were welding on this bumper, one better than the other.
As for the rear bumper, I had that made locally about a month ago or so. 3 x 4 .250 wall square tube for the main part and brackets that slide into the rear of the frame. 1.5 x 1.5 .250 wall square for the side parts and 3/8's thick plate to help brace those a bit. It's already been put to good use taking hits from rocks. I slid on one from the mudflap back on the side part and it never bent up.
This bumper is also a complete bolt on and 6 bolts hold it to the truck.

There is a reciver behind the license plate. The plate is bolted onto a bracket that slides into a class III reciver. Need to make one of those deals that have the D-ring on it to slide into there for an attachment point. For now I just wrap the strap around the bumper. Also need to trim the bottom of my front fenders
damn I hate cutting into this truck.

Very nice designs, I like!
I may be stealing some of your rear bumper design features. One question, what do you do with the license plate when towing a trailer? The license plate seems to be the biggest problem with a good rear bumper design. I'm tempted to put the plate up on the tailgate or something.

I don't tow anything so it's no problem for me (got a 3/4 ton GMC with a 454 for that
). May end up puting the plate in the tailgate someday though for a cleaner look.
Here's a pic of how those side parts are braced near the front. The one tube is hiding a bolt that bolts up where the old trailer hitch used to go. Just slid the threaded backing plates up the frame and bolted it on

Yep, those turn signals need to go. I fixed the one just so it would be legal but I'll come up with something different. Got the hydraulic winch going today with no leaks so far
Might have to go test it out tomorrow hehe.

Little update... Got in contact with Jeff at Badland Bumpers and he offered up a new turn signal light to replace the beat up one. I didn't take the offer though since I'll probably be changing stuff around anyway. Finally got a chance to go play yesterday and bump into stuff with the bumper and winch up a hill hehe. The bumper took the hits very well and the winch, while quite slow in low gear, worked flawless
