Body mount bolts.

This might be handy for anyone who unbolted their body from the frame.

If you mix up your bolts, here’s a pic.
(obviously the one that looks like a toothpick is the one from under the radiator overflow)

Bottom to top represents front to back:

(2) behind the front bumper
(2) in the front cab corners near your kick panels under the carpet.
(2) in the rear cab corners under the carpet (jumpseats etc.)

The washers to the right of them are the captive washers that I pounded off the bolt heads to re-use on the body lift bolts.

New grade 8 bolts with body lift

The body lift did come with new grade 8 bolts that are EXACTLY 2” longer than stock.

Note that the kit does NOT come with top washers. You MUST pound off and reuse the factory ones.

Picture for comparison.

Bed bolts beware

Be aware, however, that even though you may have upgraded to the “HD” kit and paid extra for the Grade 8 bolts in the kit, the BED BOLTS ARE NOT GRADE 8.

....yet another thing about 4Crawler that I question.

They do come with washers though.

Cab Spacers on.

Messed around with this way longer than I should have, but I wanted to make sure it was right.

Gonna stop here for the night.

I’m already liking the clearance in the wheel wells and the overall door height.

The T100 is looking good!

Taking the time to make sure something is right is always worth it to me!

“new” bed set in place.

Still can’t believe how good this bed is.
No complaints!

Obviously sitting 2” low until I wedge the spacers under it.

Speedometer cable.

Got this taken care of as well.

By the time you are done with all the work you are doing, you will basically have a new truck!

Body Mount Bushings

I could not, in good faith, bolt the body back on after the body lift seeing the condition of the factory bushings.

Yet again, RockAuto to the rescue with an Energy Suspensions full kit. I’m starting to feel like I’m advertising for them, but the factory parts are almost $100 each bushing for a complete assembly.

This kit was less than $100 in total. Sooooo.......

Those original mounts had at least 12 years left on them!

It was definitely time for new mounts! It makes me wonder what my 1987 mounts look like......

New body mount bushings on.

I torqued them to 50ft/lbs with a grip of red loctite. Don’t want to ever have to worry about them. Lol.

Pro-tip:

You’ll have no idea how bad they are until you take them off.
Visual inspections just don’t work with these.

Again, check the front mount on the drivers side under the radiator overflow first.

If you are looking for a cabin air filter like what you will find in a new car.... well..... there isn't one.

Toyota used a very similar ventilation system on the T100 as they did on earlier trucks, which also did not have a cabin air filter.

I figured.

It was worth hoping for!

....and the steering shaft won’t reach with the 2” body lift.

Hahahahahaha!

...this project is getting humorous!

Guess I have to order the extension that 4Crawler said I would not need.

Well, might as well finish the soundproofing up the firewall.
