ITS IN!!!
she PURRRRRRRRRRRS...
had a little trouble getting the motor to line up with the input shaft at first, but we figured it out... we jacked up the rear end so we can freely spin the drive shaft, then jacked up the tranny as far as it would go (which reminds me, the tranny mount rubber is shot) and slid the motor in... ended up with mike fiddling with the shaft (giggity), my buddy rich on the cherry picker sliding the motor in, and me pushing the picker forward as much as i could... no problem... after that it was a race to get all the wires and little bolts hooked up correctly before dark... ended up getting it all hooked up and running by around 7:30... small fuel leak here (forgot to tighten the banjo bolts all the way... DOH!) and smoking paint there from the header paint baking onto the block and she runs like a champ!!
one small caveat tho... because the motor uses a distributor, and the brand new head i got is set up for both distributor and cam position sensor, somehow all six people who were helping with the swap neglected to notice that the CPS was not hooked up OR blocked off... so it was spitting oil out the side of the head... luckily i still have the CPS from the used block/head so im going to install that tomorrow morning...
also got the bumper on... looks and fits like crap tho... looks like crap because of the 2" BL, and fits like crap because somehow the passenger side frame rail is bent a little where the bumper mounts to...
Mike (MaK924RnR) took more pics and a video of the first startup, he should post them up later today...
this is all i got with my phone...

went today to have my buddy with a fab shop take a look at modifying the bumper...
he said that because of the frame damage on the passenger rail that it would be best to just weld the mounts to the frame... he can also box the front frame rails and beef up the endcaps all at the same time... paid him 100 bucks and im dropping it off tomorrow morning to have it done... hopefully itll be done before i have to go to work...
also talked to him about exhaust... since my collector is cracked all around the tube and the exhaust leak noise is annoying the heck outta me already, i hit him up about an exhaust... hes gonna run a 1' flex pipe from the header to a short pipe, then reuse the cat i have, short pipe out to a magnaflow turbo muffler with a 4" dump under the bed... im hoping it aint gonna sound too ricer-ish...
first things first tho... got a ticket about a month back for my cracked windshield, so i gotta get that fixed soon...
gotta give a HUGE thank you to Mike (MaK924RnR) who drove 90 miles round trip, 3 days out to my house to help with the swap... and i also wanna say thanks to DC for reminding me that im an idiot and i need to plug up all the holes in the block and reminding me which terminals to jump to set the timing...
also, big thanks gotta go to Richard (my buddy who built the motor and came out to help install it even tho he had some personal issues he was dealing with), my dad, Juan, and my girlfriend MudBunni for the moral support...

to be honest, it runs like a raped ape...
balance shaft delete gives it a LITTLE vibration, but lemme tell you, when you open her up and rip out third gear to 70 @~4500RPM its downright exhilerating!
thank you, sir!
that means a lot to me... thanks!
well, because of the bent frame on the passenger side, it wouldnt line up correctly, so he basically cut the ARB mounts and lifted them 2-2.5" to match... then he welded and boxed the end of the frame rails... i dont think its going anywhere, but if i ever feel like it might, i always have the option of beefing up the mounts by plating further back...
