Black
EDIT: actually... keep them purple... when you're ready to sell them. dip them in paint thinner, and put them back to original... then buy se steelies.

if you paint em i think you should go with a gunmental or something different. like the purple. i see a lotta trucks with black rims, including mine lol. but i also thing black would look sick if you did go with black

Sweet Troy, looks GREAT! I would say Black on the rims, it'll look really good with that bumper and against the white. Just my opinion(and I guess some others^^ lol)
Trucks looking sick, man...and I HATE YOU.....23.7mpg???????????? GRRR, lol. Jk, Congratz!

Cool, sounds like the bumper should be stout. X2 on the gunmetal painted wheels. Black is always a safe bet, but I don't think you're too concerned with that anyhow. Honestly, the purple doesn't look that bad either.

i think you should continue the direction you've gone with the hood paint and stickers, they definitely make your rig unique and unmistakable - the wheels should match. besides, i thought i recall you stating a while back that you hate blacked out wheels with blackwalls. the purple is good, but for some reason i'm thinking you should paint your wheels with a tightly spaced spotted pattern made with many different colors of spray paint - like a tightly woven spotted camo so to speak. my reference for this is those little multicolored foam pads that come stuck on glass. i guess the base of them is black with lots of "chips" of color mixed in. i think it will help accentuate the colorful sticker motif you've got on the fender and the image on the hood. if it doesn't work, you can always paint over it.

Brian, i cant quite picture what your trying to tell me...
what pops into my head at that point is a clown... and that scares me...
as for the comments about steelies, they would be nice, BUT, i have other focuses in my personal life and the life of my rig... maybe ill get em when these tires are dead (with the way they are wearing, in 2 years) but as for now, the stockers work, and the best part is, THEY'RE FREE! if someone gave me steelies, that'd be cool, but i still wouldnt swap em until these tires are dead... when it comes down to it, i was raised with the idea that if it aint broke, dont fix it... windshield and exhaust are broke and need fixin... rims are just fine...

Hey, maybe do gunmetal gray like suggested, leaving the purple anywhere that isn't facing the outside...?? lol. (purple on the 'inset??' portions?

idk... i think the purple and gunmetal will make it look TOO ricer-ish...
a little update...
threw code P1300 which is an ignitor failure code...
all the research ive done says that a P1300 is usually caused by a bad ground... but when we put the new motor in we made 100% sure that all the grounds were tightened...
symptoms are stuttering and misfiring on the freeway... BADLY... enough to kill it 9 or 10 times... luckily i had forward motion so i just dropped the clutch and fired her back up... but it still made me nervous... didnt do it at ALL while on the way home, but i stopped by to see a friend and leaving, it would start then die... after a few cycles, she fired, ran for a second and died... had to deal with about 2 minutes of this crap before she stayed running... didnt give me a single fit on the way home from there...
gonna get a used one from DC and im hoping that its just the ignitor is bad... if not, idk how im gonna fix this... there isnt much info on it...

are the connectors on those igniters similar to the earlier models? If so, maybe one of the wires backed out and didn't make contact within the connector. That happened to my carb connector once. Maybe undo the connector and reconnect it.
