Ive got to do this same thing as soon as possible.
My Y piped exhaust elemenated any chances of putting a spare tire underneith, and now its just laying in the back of the truck
What exactly did you do to raise yours up?

i use 2 2x4 pieces of wood cut to length and painted black... cheap, easy, and dont look too bad from 20 feet away drivin 20 miles an hour...

 

60 bucks for the set. They were practically new take offs. Guy said he was about to throw them in a dumpster just to get them out of his garage.
And yea, I love em. They are 3742764 times more comfy then my old stockers. A little on the firm side but they've loosened up a bit since I installed them.

Lots of support shouldn't mean the seat has to be way too stiff.

Well.. Plans have gotten in gear for a Solid Axle Swap. My rack and pinion is starting to leak.. I don't want to spend money on a new one. Friend of mine is buying a house and will have a 220 Welder I can use.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with the new Trail Gear Tacoma sas kit.
I'm going to use a stock (well somewhat) yota front axle. IFS hubs for width. FROR Tacoma brake mounts (with Tundra brakes).
Since I already have a passenger drop transfer case that I was going to use for my crawl box I think I'm just going to throw some 4.7's in it and throw it on the back of my transmission (with a marlin crawler adapter) and have a passenger side drop.
Hoping these 35" MTR's will last me until a bit after the sas when I can get some 37's.

Here's what trail gears single cab taco looks like.. They say the sas kit puts the axle center 3.5" forward of stock.. so that'll give me a little extra wheel base and plenty of firewall clearance to run 39's if I wanted.

They forgot to put the drain plug back in the diff in that pic, lol. That'll be sweet Scoob, what are you gonna do about gears? 5.71s and crawl box? Damn, maybe you shoulda bought that TG housing from me after all, haha.

 

I think your referring to the radiator that they removed in that picture of the truck flexing.

Going to stay with 5.29's at the moment.
With 4.7s in the transfer case I'll be just fine.

Naww.. I'm still not a fan of that TG housing....
