well I managed to get a little done today, my springs showed up while I was on the road. I had planned on haveing the same buddy doing my gears set up my new coil overs but since he still doesnt have the gears done Im not sure how long it would take him to get the coil overs done, so I decided to do it myself.

rented a suicide coil spring compresser set from the parts store. anybody interested in a set of 2.5 inch preload spacers.

I really figured there would there would be a bigger difference in hight.

and a assembled set of coil overs

I also was able to pick up my BFG 305s yesterday. I never imagined finding a complete set of 80 series wheels was going to be, I was worried about not haveing a set of wheels to get this thing rolling so I picked up a set of D windows not my first choice but they where cheap and fit my budget.
I hope he gets the gears done before I have to head back out so maybe I start getting this thing put back together.

the 305s clear better than I was ecspecting, I mounted the wheels without my 1 inch spacers they clear the upper control arm very well, and it looks like they will clear the front fenders good to, I still plan to do a 1 inch body lift just to be on the safe side. thanks for checking in.

hey shredder, I completely understand I never imagined it would take so long to get mine back together, of course the project just kept growing as I went along but still. so far it seems worth it I will be able to tell more after I get iy aligned but thr front end feels tight, the breaks feel really good, I dont notice a lot of differance in acceleration but Im sure its there, and the ride is so much better. good luck with getting those wheel bearings done, its not a bad job once you get started.

What happened to your garage?!?, Never mind, I see the tire sale sign in the background. I know how a simple fix can turn into months long repair project. Congratulations getting it back on the road and sure it will be more enjoyable on this go around. I know it is a relief for you to get it moving again. Congrats!!!

No need to be jealous I'm sure yours won't be down as long as mine has been, best of luck with all the work.

Hab that's almost the exact response my wife had but I don't think she meant it in a funny way she added something about maybe when I'm dead.

hab are you still running wheel spacers on yours?

That says a lot for the 4Runner, that she knows it's gonna be around that long.

I'm running 1" adapters, not hub centric. I started with 1/4" spacers to clear the upper a-arm and Tundra brakes and got rid of those stupid things as fast as I could. Could have gotten away with smaller adapters but beyond custom 1" was thinnest I could find.

I tried to assure her that I would probably tear it up beyond fixing long before then she seen NO humor in that comment I should probably quit while I'm ahead.

I asked about the wheel spacers becausI I really expected more fitment issues with these 305s and although they seem to be clearing fine I'm debating on putting my spacers back on.
