where to get swaybar discos in a hurry

OK... I'm getting desperate. Anyone know where I can get swaybar discos in a hurry? I don't mind paying for priority/overnight shipping if necessary. I'd prefer the Nuke/Lars design, but the rockstomper design will do if it's all I can get.

I was going to... but I can't get all of the parts locally - specifically the heims and the bushings. Ordering them would take too long.

I got my set from Lars pretty quick, he had the red bushing discos in stock. I had him order a set with black bushings special order. Did you check with him already? He responded pretty quickly to my messages and the quality is top notch. Great guy to deal with.

Yea, I did... got an autoresponse to my email - apparently he's out of town. I may just cut them off and drive disconnected for the time being. Then hope I can get a set sometime next week.

Initially I was worried about driving around with mine disconnected, but after driving that way I can tell you it is nothing to worry about as long as you are careful. It was actually nice feeling the suspension cycle without being tied to the other side.

Yea... I did it for a while last summer - popped a CV boot. Obviously there's no way to know if I popped the boot because I was disconnect, but the timing seems oddly coincidental.

I know what you mean. When my PS endlink snapped off I had to keep the sharp end tied away from the boot to keep it from ripping it. In the end, I had to ruin both endlinks to get them off.

So Jackson, what did you end up doing? Still driving around without anything on there?

I havent had front sway bars on my runner for about 2 years now..

Don't really notice the differancce anymore. Just don't try and take the On or off ramp for the hiway at high speeds..

I say remove em for the trip.

Yea... I cut them off Saturday morning so I would be disco'd for Sunday's trip. I'm hoping to get my hands on another set this week.

I know, I know. I wish a set was ready when I needed them. I appreciate you trying to work that out with me. That is why I was trying to spread the word, that is good stuff.

Yup...I'm glad Mick/RidgeRunner is making a go of it. Hopefully he can sell a few.

Hey, me too. There are reasons why I think your design is superior.

Rockstomper disconnects suck. I destroyed a few of those after having some annoying problems with them.

I've had Nuke disconnects for quite a while. It was a 6 month process from the time I first told him that I wanted to buy them to the point where I actually received them in the mail. I just noticed that the heims on my Nukes are pretty badly worn. There's a lot of play in them. That's an indication that the heims weren't sized big enough and/or are lower quality than what's needed.

In contrast I know that Lars tries to keep one or two sets in stock so people aren't waiting on him. He has a great design (and an improved one over Nuke's). Lars' heims are larger than Nukes. The narrowest part of the shaft also looks larger (stronger) on Lars' disconnects. Plus the design allows the length to be somewhat adjustible, which has some subtle advantages. Just do it right the first time and buy them from Lars.
