Saggy Rear

See how the back of my truck sags to be lower than the frount. What would be the cheapest/best way to raise it up enough to make it level?

Yeah, my rear end is sagging too (yes, yes... bring on the jokes).

If you get the shackles, don't you have to trim the exhaust?

How about an "add-a-leaf"?

I'm having the same problem with my 1990 ext cab 4x4 pickup.

Regarding shackles,add-a-leafs...how hard is labor on these? how much will labor cost on these?

On another thought, if i was to install a body lift, can i just double up on the blocks in the rear?

What do you mean by "double-up?" A body lift won't change your suspension.

Stay away from the blocks. Bad idea - check out the previous link I posted. There is an article available on the types of lifts for p/ups and the pros and cons of them.

It's sagging so much that when I was tailgating you I thought I was behind Nick Nolte jogging in the nude.

My 2wd Nissan's rear is sagging too but the leaf springs are under the axel. What is the best way to level or lift this setup?

Rancho air shocks with on-board compressor. They work great.

I posted earlier about springs on a diff thread. I replaced my stock springs on my 92 with stock aftermarket springs, measured before and after.......raised it 2 1/2".Previousley I added 1.1/2" shackles paid $50 for them but had to torch out old rear bushings which added another $15.

hey s4m,
i don't think your truck is saggin that much...hte pickups form 89-95 have a lower fender well in the rear...if you look at your body line down your box and door you can see this...i think you should only fix this is you want more Rake on your truck..but its up to you
