rear defrost
Looks like my rear defrost is out. The light is on and no one is home so-to-speak....haven't check'd any wiring or fuses....but suggestions on where to start?>?

how'd ya get in there? any tricks so I don't mess it up?
wonder if this is my my light doesn't come on when I open my liftgate? Maybe the wiring harness is unpluged/damaged/defective?

The wires connect to the bottom of the glass. Over time as the glass moves up and down the wires "crack" away from the glass.
Just re-join them and it should sort it out.

Take the panel off the inside of the tailgate. And look at the bits inside, from inside the cargo area the connections are on the right hand side. You should see them easily. Just resolder them and it should be ok.

The carpet section pops out, fairly easily I think. Then there is a light steel panel underneath. Good 'ole fashion screws hold it in place...
