Magna Flow Muffler Installed

My stock muffler blew this last week and the seams separated. Could this be due to the S/C? Anyway, the muffler shop installed a 14" Magnaflow in its place. I noticed slightly improved performance and a much better exhaust tone. It cost $150 installed. I figured I could have saved $20 or so, but the convenience factored is also important.

Congrats!
I use the 14" one as stated on my exhaust page.

I take you got the 2.50" inlet & outlet right?
Mines 2.25".

Very good sounding muffler that gets better as it ages.

You can use either with the 3.4.
Here is a good chart from Dynomax's site.

http://www.dynomax.com/techsupport.stm

You can see with a single outlet pipe for a 3.3 to 4.1 CID engine, you float in between 150 to 200 HP, since you have 180 from the factory.
Either muff will work.

However for the 3.0 like I have, it stated for a 150 HP mill to use 2.25".

You should be fine, and may even see better low end response with the smaller muffler had you gone with the 2.50" tube.

You're fine with 2.25" pipe Rob. When the install it, they will expand the opening of the tube to sort of make a flange, then they'll weld it up.

okey dokey.

I don't doubt you Tom. Just wondering.

So now with the deckplate, isr, amsoil air filter, and with this new muffler, what would you say I'm around hp wise? 195? 200? that'd be cool if I broke 200
