i'm a newb to 4 runners, but i did an outer boot replacement on a honda accord and the boot grease slung all over the brake rotors warping the crap out of them

you prolly have a totally different boot system going, but just thought i'd throw that in there

Bob, for my education, why would you replace your cvboots?
What symptoms are you experiencing to replace the cvboots? Thank you

well, theres a giant tear in one, the got old and uhh...brittle. And i think both of them tore, because there is grease all over the Control arms. I Am proabably gonna fool with this in the next few days. If i encounter problems ill be on here. From my knowledge, if u dont replace torn boots you'll break a CV joint, cause it looses all the grease and can get dirt and stuff in there... BTW thanks for responding everybody, didnt think id get any.

Anyone do the cheap trick mod of replacing the studs on the stub axles with bolts? Can this be done on the vehicle? Or do the stubbies have to pulled from the diff?
