I like the type r but if you get them, you will definitely need an amp to push them. I still have factory in back so when I power down the amps I can still listen to something... If you don't go with amps, I have heard good things about infinity speakers... IMO tho...
If yall don't mind, I would show another setup that I had... Only problem is it isn't in a Toyota... Its in my Passport that I totaled out... I Had 2 12" P2, 2 12" Q-Power (yeah I know, LOL), 2 Memphis 6x9, and the 2 6x9 Kenwoods facing the front but you can't see them in pic...
Go right ahead.

I have a Kenwood USB head unit, 2 - 6 1/2 Alpine Type
R in front doors, 2 - 6X9 Kenwood Bolted on box, 2 speaker horns under hood, 2 - 15" ROCKFORD FOSGATE HX2 Subs, 1- T10001 bd amp, 2 - P3002 amps, cap made for 3 amps and a crossover. I just got my hands on 2 more HX2 and will be working on a box for all 4.... But still looking for another T10001bd amp. Also debating if I want to have subs facing up or down...

4 15's will kick ass. 4 subs up, ports back to tail lights. thats called the crx style box. it works well in suv and crx.

dude, please dont use that fatmat crap. if youre gonna do it , do it right. i got double dyna mat in mine and its sooo sweet. fat mat is cheaper but its paper thin and will never be anything close to dynamat. plus that crap will dry out in a few years. ive literally seen that crap crumble off after time. ask any audio shop they will show you the difference. even with my 4 15's pounding with everything theyve got, i dont have any rattle whatsoever with the dynamat. compare a sample of each side by side and you will see what i mean. dynamat is ALOT cheaper if you get it off ebay in the BULK pak vs. getting it at the local car audio shop.

Chea they are facing they front, I have tools behind box. I really didn't know how to tune the box so I just built a L shape port as you can see above the subs. I don't really have room to put a port facing back, So it will be facing up with subs (not trying to lose back seats). This time box will be 12cuft, baffled on top, and tuned to 35 hrtz.
there is no way i will ever get 2 more 15's cause my sound system is already loud enough. I'm having difficult to breathe and cant see straight

I read about some stuff called edead they said its better than fatmat. you can get it in different thicknesses and you can buy it buy the square foot. $1 per square foot or $2 per square foot for the thicker stuff.

you will be blow away if you build a proper box and tuning freq. The bass response will be better if the subs are firing back. It's your install. download winisd and make a custom ported box that will do nicely. subs up and port back, trust me. throw away the tools!

Chea, I saw that one on e-bay too, but the Power Mat is 50 mil... Sounds like pretty good stuff... Read a whole lot of good replies about it. 300 degrees like dyna-mat. Too many choices!!!
