?? about clutch master cylinder..

I was wondering if there is a master cylinder mod I could do. I replaced my CMC about 2years ago an it just failed, I replaced it with another one and the pedal feel is real hard. I was wondering if I could swap in a CMC from another year Toy. I was going through the Beck-Arnly book at work and it looks like Toyota used the same CMC for a bunch of years. I have done the swap on a nissan break MC to get better pedal feel but what can i do for my 'yota?

what kind of clutch are you using if you have one with a stiffer pressure plate that would make the pedal hard. if you have the book at work you should know if you can use one from another year.

I have a centerforce stage 2.

Ok maybe I should rephrase the question. Is there a better CMC that I can use that is proven to work in a toyota app? Something with a bigger bore? Something from a heavy-duty application?

If your clutch MC failed on you in only 2 years, it's possible that air was still in your system. I just did both the MC and SC yesterday and bled it with a pressure bleeder. It works great and I noticed that the pedal is not stiff like the old MC that went out on me. The old MC gradually got stiffer and stiffer , squeaked and popped, and finally started leaking from the push rod about a few days ago. Swapping out the MC was easier than the SC. IMO, I would stick with OEM for proper fit and quality.

YIKES thats a REALLY hard clutch....as far as i can remeber atleast

basicly liek said above you need a stronger master and slave cyl...or maybe bleed\fill it perfectly.

im about to do a whole clutch job to my new MR2...im gonna drop the tranny...which is a huge PITA because the motor is sideways...new master and slave cyl also

should be fun...not
