I also forgot to mention that I picked up a set of NWOR rear springs from a guy at the Jambo. 2 or 3 inch lift. They should go great with my long shackles until I get some 63 chevys

Had a work weekend on everyone's trucks. 3 trucks and one whole Saturday. We got a lot done.
My truck got:
Power steering pump restrictor plate mod ( http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showt...hreadid=167299 )
Sliders welded on
And a new 4ft Firestik CB antenna to replace the old whips
Forrest's Turbo truck got a new timing chain kit, water pump, and a front oil seal
And we pulled two broken knuckle studs from Al's truck and replaced them
Didn't get many pics but two. Too much work goin on lol

Al also gave me a 20 lb CO2 bottle that he had sittin in his garage. Gonna try to make it into my version of a power tank. It's steel which isn't a big deal for me. Needs a re-cert and a regulator. But it sure as heck beats spending $8 in quarters to fill up my tires after a weekend of wheelin.

I might also try to hook up the tranny cooler off my 88 runner onto the power steering system. That pump mod is amazing but it seems like the temp of the fluid is nuclear now. I checked it on my way home from my buddies house and the res cap was burnin hot. I would imagine that keeping the temp of fluid be better for the pump. I don't necessarily want to buy a new one if I burn this one up.

Wow, what a great session! I would LOVE to have some enthusiasts in my group of friends..... But all have given up their 4WD Passion... So I've made new friends, lol... BUT, most either don't have time to do a 'joint session' or just aren't as experienced as me(WHICH IS FINE, better than NO wheeling friends... And I have no problem helping them learn/figure stuff out).... Richard(aka Redeth) is a good dude... helped me out the other day with holding down the arms to get the CV's in, etc. Have another buddy, Andy, who's a GURU fo sho! lol... But, while he's a Toyota expert... he's also WAY too busy with work and I hear from him around 1 time every 2 months, lol.

LOVED seeing those.... I'll live vicariously through you, man! hehe.

NICE WORK, BTW!!! Looking forward to getting sliders on, myself, as well as some other armor... Why'd you opt for 'no kick out' versions? Just curious, not sayin you should have,

Yeah I like havin so many enthusiasts in my group that love workin on them as much as I do. I am considered the "guru" of the group. They all come to me with questions lol. I am by far no guru but I am gettin there. The internet is a lovely tool for such a thing.

I got the no kick out version because I got a good deal on them used from a friend of mine that is scrappin his project. I might modify them later down the road. My best friends brother has a passion for bendin up some tube, so there are infinite options for anything. Gonna try to get him to bend me up a sick front bumper here soon.

I like it so far. The rest of the guys have done it as well. You can turn the wheel on an idle standstill with one finger. It is a little quirky on the hiway, but you don't really have to worry about that since you tow.

Update on the PS mod. Works great! Haven't had any trouble with it at all. Except for the small leak its got but I think it has to do with the 25 year old, 430K mile, rotten PS lines.

On a side note gettin some more stuff for the truck. Regearing to 4.88. My buddy that owns the Yota Yard has IFS and rear thirds that he wants me to buy for $300. I need it for mileage and the lower crawl ratio out on the trail. Also pickin up a used all pro t case skid. Tired of bangin the case on rocks. Marlin 4.7s don't come cheap and I don't wanna be replacing them anytime soon.

Got the header on. Only took half an hour on Sunday. I love it. Sooooo much better than the stock manifold. Still running the scab exhaust system behind it but kookin to fix that soon enough.
Gonna be dropping the stock carb for a Weber this weekend, hopefully. My brother is swappin EFI into his 84 and doesn't need the Weber anymore. So I get the hand me down parts, which I have absolutely no problem with haha.

Put the Weber off of my buddies 84 on today. Can't seem to get it to idle right at. 1000 rpm and it wants to die
