the three ports on top of the carb aren't for A/C they are for HAC (High Altitude Compensation) Yes they get plugged if you don't have that system.

See those three plugs? I have also seen some people attach a vacuum hose on top of one or more of those plugs just to plug another line.

Yea there were like 3-4 plugs with vacuum hoses. All hoses had a home. It really confused me but that makes sense. Don't know what else was plugged. I actually have a spare carb. The carb that is on the truck now doesn't even have the third port (long one just under the top one in the pic). It was built without it.
Will I pass emissions in Colorado without the HAC?
You should jump over to my build thread so we don't keep cluttering up Z's build.

What my 2nd girlfriend said after seizing her 87 Fiero Turbo(her first mistake! lol)..... We all said, "Did you ever check the oil?" Her response...... "What? .... it had oil when I bought it!" hehehe,

Anxiously awaiting the 'START YOUR ENGINESSSSSSSS!' MOMENT!

I made it out of the driveway and down the street to the intersection. It ran out of gas with like an 8th tank. I think the timing might be off not really sure tho. Now it wont start at all.

You rap on the tank to be sure it's not totally empty(faulty gauge?)

Sorry to hear that, man! Stock timing is 5*BTDC and with most any CAM, like my 261 from Engnbldr, it's 8*BTDC.

Keep us updated as to all you're trying/rule out, .....don't wanna waste your time with stuff you've already tried/already know to try.

You know the rule with Dizzy install, right?

Just for the heck of it...>>> lol>>>>

1. Get to TDC on Compression Stroke
2. Insert Dizzy with Rotor pointing at 12'o'Clock on the dot
3. As it slides in, it will fall back on the gear to 10PM or so(#1 on the Rotor/point position)
4. If you have to verify it VISUALLY, .... pull the cover and make sure the dimple in the Dizzy Gear is JUST before the cam gear, counterclockwise.

Not sure why it would stall after 5 minutes due to only that... but I guess it's possible. Stall, sure, maybe, but not start again? Not sure on that, Zach.

I think its the fuel pump or a clog in the line. The carb sight glass has no fuel in it. I unhooked the line from the pump to the carb and no gas when I crank it over. Also replaced the fuel pump with a OEM one so thats out of the equation. I am gonna do one more test before I replace the pump.

One replaced pump and a 4 hour, nightmare testdrive later... Its getting enough fuel to the carb to idle and move for about 40 ft before it dies. When I look at the sight glass the gas drips once then about a second and a half goes by before another drip. It doesnt flood in like it should. Idk what the prob is. Maybe a clog in the tank?

so you got 3 lines hooked to the fuel system? Vent, return and supply? Not familiar with the 85 setup, so I don't know if it's different then the 87.
