Shes my lil sis. 3 1/2 years younger than me. She likes helpin me out with the truck, especially since she gets to drive it everynow and then.

Its goin good. I got the rods torqued down. Other than that I havn't really gotten any further, some family friends came by and their kid wouldnt leave me alone hahaha. Now I am gonna go to the auto parts store and pick out my paint.

I was gonna go with the red paint but I saw this and it spoke to me

SUPRISE!!!!!!!

The timing set installed. I know I said that I was gonna use the steel guides but the machine shop wiped me out so I used a new plastic guided set that I had here in the garage.

I shouldn't have dismissed the Kawa-Green, .... it doesn't count as a Christmas Color! DANGIT! lol... Jk, ... I'm LIKIN IT, MAN! Valve cover gonna be that color too? Looks great, man!

Did you sand it down first? If not, you're gonna have like a 4 coat insulated block! hahaha.

PS> Couple questions... just curious...

1. Where's the dowel/Timing cover gasket holding pin on the driver side?
2. What are those 2 lil dots on the block face, furthest bottom left?
3. What Cam Chain Sprocket and timing kit is that? Just strange to see one without holes/louvers in it(the sprocket)... I see the "Made in USA" thing...

Its a Cloyes set. I think it came from Oreilley We have had it layin around here for about a year for the 85. I dont know what happend to the dowel thingy. It may have come off at the machine shop or some where along the way. I have some extras. As for the dots I didnt even notice them there. I will have to check them out in the mornin.

I'm guessing the "DOTS" are from whatever they mounted the block in for machining... just a guess.

Best wishes, man... can't wait!
