Well I made it out to Msv/ coney today. Great trip and was amazed how easy the trail seems after the last few months of wheeling. I love this trail cause I used to run it all the time in my truck when it was ifs. Now I get to see how it does with the mods I have now. Got a few camera phone shots but that's about it.

A white Trd Tacoma hydro locked his motor at the lake and so did a black jeep. Both ran the trail with a tow strap :0

Now back to project 88.

So its time for some changes
Raceline beadlocks to start the list off. 17/9.5 with 4''bs

And now to get the bigger mods.

08 fj cruiser rear axle with elocker. the axle is 64" wms to wms I plan to run a 1.5'' spacer on the rear and have a diamond front done at 67''

I also talked to a guy i know from back in the day who taught interior at a well known school. When he gets back from a job hes now doing in HI he will be getting my interior to wrap. I cant take the unfinished interior anymore. Im adding the FJ tippy gauge thing.

Its going to be a while for this section of the build cause i still have rear armor to do and repainting a few parts of the truck.

I plan on changing the suspension a little. I just changed the shocks in the rear to 12'' and will be triangulating them. Im also going to be changing my shackle angle i hope. The front will get new bump stops and id like to get different bushings cause im honestly tired of replacing the trail gear crap. I have a full Hydro assist set up to go on that i will be adding this round and im thinking about a new front bumper but we will see how the rear turns out.

I cant see the pics

I like that softtop camper shell you've got. I want to DIY something like that but that would attach to my roll bar.

I sold my soft topper yesterday to a friend of mine. Im going to order the black one next Friday when i get the rest of his money.

I sat on the phone with Brian from Diamond axle yesterday. Nice guy...I ordered an axle housing. Its going to be 67 .25 from wms to wms. Im adding FJ cruiser brakes to the front so i have a matched brake set up to the rear. It will be all my axles guts and hubs and stuff. I cant wait..Going to start ripping the truck apart this week. I need to start on the bumper to decide on what to do with the springs and shackles. then i will start on the axle.

Today was an interesting day

Started out like this...

Then this

and here is where we leave off

I have lots of fine tuning to do but its generally there. I need to pull it in here bend it here.. you know the drill on bumpers.

Also just cut and pasting this from my TTora ad

Hey guys, had a buddy sayin he was taking it and its going to come out next week. He's going to flake he said cause he hasn't saved the money...OH well Im selling off my rear axle.

Details.
88 V6 housing. Has half pipe cap with notch for the fill plug, Diff breather is extended up with a coiled hose. you can have that too. The Drain plug is shaved and the bottom has been raised and plated in 1/4'' i think it was. No leaks. fr

I replaced the wheel bearings last year before takeover. I bet i dont have 5k miles on em. Replaced the Elocker motor over the winter.

Gears are yokon 5.29 with a solid pinion spacer. Gear install done by Scotty at addicted. The gear install has 12k miles on them. No issues and when pulled the pattern looked good.

Trail gear 3 hole perch set up. The are welded on the outside and could be ground and axle rotated easily. Shock tabs are in place for stock 86 front and back mounting same thing..Can be reused with ease. I have a wiring harness that plugs in to the Low range switch thats $25 from them cause i wanna keep my switch..You can have my back up one that has the different face and you can have the relayed harness i had in before with the toggle and light..i say just grab a lowrange switch.

Im including the rear ebrake cable. I have front ones if you want those too. i also have a spare shaft and drum. The bearing in it is not great but it gets you home if you manage to brake one.

Asking $850 obo

Selling just because im going with wider axles.

The body was on and off a ton. I put the hoops on with the body and the sliders cause of the fit i was after. I didnt want to cut the inner fender for the hoops so i had to metal shape the hell out of the fenders to fit them. The sliders i wanted close so notching the pinch weld was a must. Even dented the rocker a tiny bit to fit them.

I've done a sas on a 90 model and had to "adjust" the inner fender wells for the shock hoop, wasn't sure about the sliders, the ones you have look similar to the ones I'm putting on my 87 xtra cab project, thanks
