Twisted.. You have that engine looking great. Getting it running means you got alot accomplished. Great job. Who doesnt have a small setback after getting one running.

I dont think I ever got one going without some kind of leak. I learned to just fill the radiator with water on the first start up. Antifreeze is just to expensive to have leaking all over the place.

Once again, Great job. Looking forward to the pics.

I seen you said your computer froze up and lost alot of info. I have a problem of writing in the thread and when I go to post, my time runs out and I have lost a lot things when I go to post and have to start over.

One thing I do is write it in Wordpad and when I get it finished, I copy and paste it to the thread and then go advanced to preview it. I know your computer froze but maybe this trick will help out if you run into it.

I seen that episode of the Tacoma on Powerblock. It did really good. I hope they keep that build up to date. Sometimes they show reruns or jump on other projects.

How do you think Smog will go??

I did a 68 Mustang when there and I passed the sniff test with flying colors. But I removed the broken heat shield and a few other things and they failed me. I just rebuilt the motor. The guy said he would of passed me without rebuilding the motor as long as I had the smog equipment on. It would of failed the sniff test at that time. Put the broken parts on and passed. That was in 94.

I miss California, but not Smog test.

If you sell berry, what are going to be the new plans for Scav? Is it going to be your daily driver or daily driver / weekend offroader?

it will be my daily driver / weekend warrior. i like having a daily driver tht i can wheel. tht way when im driving down a street and see some mud i can go play for a bit then go back on my way.

id like to keep both, but times are tough and i need some money. so you do what you gotta do.

how good are your welding skills you could just replace the axle tube on the side that is bent but that depends on you or if you know someone you trust that much

Smile

i know its not regarding a toyota, but im so happy. i thought my cam went flat in me and my dads chevy but thankfully it was really a wire burnt through by touching the header, a couple plugs fouled out from this wire and previous wires being burnt on the header and small gaps on a few with them all being uneven. im so freaking happy

Dont know about welding, it would be a nice skill to have. Someone with the skills and ability Im sure would be able to straighten it out.

I have dealt with the burnt plug wires twice. New plug wires are just as expensive as anything else. When you are at the bone yard is a good time to get new wire holders. These are so old and brittle, you can never have enogh.
