i want to do something like this:
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f88/...der-way-92914/

but instead of flat bars i will use the angle iron and put snaps on it.
also i want to see if i can figure a way to make it foldable so it doesnt take a lot of space when not in use.

So i found a guy on craigslist tht was parting out a 89 4runner. a thought in the back of my head was to maybe get the whole thing, but he wanted 2 much for it, so i didnt get it but i got some parts.

got my pass. taillight assy.:

got a windor regulator/crank for the pass. door on the berry, this is what the one on the berry looked like:

the hole ripped open so when rolling it up the spring would get tight and make it skip teeth.

also got a heater face plate with 2 small holes in it, and a dome light cover. all for $30. pretty good.

and here is the hinges and locks for my bumper:

and i fix 4 all 4runner guys,
on the pass. door the front door handle always seems to stop working when they get old, causing you to use the rear most door handle.

this is because the linkage wears out over time.
I had something written up but when it gets posted it becomes moved around so you can tell. but i basically bent the linkage to make it tighter
now it opens evey single time. on the first time.

Nice deal on the parts. I know you've been looking for that tail light assembly for a while now.

so the berry has had a misfire for 3-4months now. i havent done anything because i had no money. but now with my job i have some money. so i looked at all my plugs and they looked good, looked at my wires they are getting old but still good, looked at my cap and it had some build up on the points. so i ordered a new cap and rotor.

installed the cap and rotor today and still no change. swap wires from the scav and still nothing, and all my injectors are pulsing properly.

the wierd thing is tht it isnt a constant mis-fire. is like an uneven one and it doesnt seem to change at higher rpms, like a regular mis would increase as the rpm's increase.

so im at a stand still.

still working on the misfire. not trying to hard because it isnt tht bad and i have been busy. but last night i picked up a small air compressor tht has a 2.2gal tank tht may go on my truck when i do the OBA. also came with a small hose and a fitting so im getting parts for tht.

but the really good news is, i may be getting a Dana 44 and a 12 bolt rear for free. so maybe a full width swap is in the future. i have 2 trucks so maybe 2 swaps? 1 toyota SAS and 1 full width SAS. we will see.

right now im waiting on a part so i can build my toyota axcle then i will work on these ones.

Hello Twisted.. Great deal on parts. Glad you got a tail light cover. Those are getting hard to find unless you go new. Knew you were looking for awhile.

On your misfire, have you checked your injector connections? I had that problem. They get really brittle. Try running it and wiggle each injector connection and see if it starts cutting out.

I have been gone for 2 weeks so have got some catching up to do.

pretty awesome rigging up all that random junk into parts for your truck

ive got a miss on mine as well, did cap, rotors, plugs, wires, and fuel filter. went away for 3 days then came back...now its gone again wtf

any way to test the injectors to see if they are firing properly?

Did you try wiggling your injector wires and see if it cut out any? I dont know how to test injectors either. Just trying to offer a little support. I know what it is like to be in your situation. Sometimes someone else idea helps get you out of a rut.

I havent really noticed body roll. Have you done something that might cause a little more roll then usual? Mine may be as bad but not having another to compare to, I havent noticed.

i havent done anything since the one day on my miss fire. im getting 19.5mpg so it it isnt bothering me to much considering i havent had enough time to try anything.

as for the body roll i think its just because of the springs being totaly flat and my rear shocks are probably shot. but it does give a smoothish ride. in my buddies truck when going around corners the truck was still and i was the one leaning in the corners.

besides for tht. i havent touched my trucks at all. did a lil research on full width swaps. but between work and seing my daughter and helping friends and fsamily on the weekend havent had time. maybe this weekend i will put together my toy axle. maybe haha
