found my cable! hahaha

so for my cup holder i found a piece of exhaust tubing and a piece of metal tht i cut a lower case d shape out of and drilled a hole. one of the holes was already their. the tubing sitting on the metal:

i then welded the tubing to the metal and wanted to paint it black, but the only paint i had tht was black was rubberized undercoating for wheel wells, so i used tht, thinking it would help fit the can better.:

it came out great, i love it. now i will have to make one for the pass. side. in do time haha.

also i find a pool noddle a while back and found a great use for it:

now i dont hit my head on the hard roll bar anymore.

on the scav i have the skull shifter and while cleaning it up tht day before driving it tht weekend i decided i didnt like the t-cas shifter so i did this:

it is an old ball out of a computer mouse that i drilled a hole in and jb welded a nut in it.

and since im on the scav here is the new to me heater face plate, it makes me so happy:

i knew what all the setting were before but it is so great to see the settings now, i put a peice of packing tape across the front to keep it from being broken anymore.

and tht is all, actually i cleaned the berry out and did a lot of organizing but i dont have any pictures of tht.

That is a great idea on drink holder. I showed the wife that and she said that would be the perfect place. Outstanding idea. Great job.

On your faceplate, you have the correct one, yours shows 5 positions were the red/blue ones only have 4 positions marked. On that style just make sure you dont bump it with your finger as they tend to be really brittle. I think they were really thin material.

yea i have 2 of the red and blue ones but they dont tell you where the air is blowing. and it is very brittle tht is why i put the packing tape over it.

thanks for the complaments on the cup holder

Hey twisted haven't checked in for awhile, you are the master of repurpasing things. Nice work on the cup holder I did something similar in a truck I was driving once. Keep it up.

havent been on in a while due to lost internet connection at my house, havent done anything to the trucks due to being busy and broke, however i found a set of rims in a dumpster at my work a few weeks back and my dad bought me tires for xmas. installed the tires and rims on the berry last night and im so stoked. i have pictures on my phone but cant load, but the tires are 265/75/r15. now tht i got the tires it has got me back in the mood and im looking for some coils to raise the back then ill install the tube bumpers off the scav on it.

i got some coils of a rear end of a 90's tahoe, im going to install them today after work.

also got some stickers from wabfab from the xmas give away. i got to say he is awsome. i asked for a specific sticker just to hopefully get lucky. and not only did i get tht sticker but 2 others also. and the best part it was free. installed one on the berry today the other 2 will go on the scav. i also painted the black trim around the slider windows on one side of the top looking very good. as soon as i get internet will upload pics.

like i stated before the new tires is getting me back in the mood. it feels great!

after installing the bumper i took and cut off the metal brackets tht use to hold the plastic corner caps on, just to make sur if anything happens my tire wont hit them.

trying to get my phone to connect to my comp may have to us the gf like i did last time to put pics up.
i have had a battery box(the ones you use to jumpstart a vehicle) for a while. my dad made a plug a while back to plug into my cig lighter to charge the box while driving. well tht got broken a while back, but he just bought me one. so now i have my batt. box in the truck also. and the weird thing i found out is if the batt box is pluged in with the key off the box backfeeds to the radio and clock. i was thinking about just rewiring my cig lighter to another 12v acc but i like the fact tht i can play my radio with the truck off. so im now thinking about putting an on off switch in-line of the cig lighter so i can make an open circuit when the key is off.

also thinking of installing a headlight buzzer so tht it makes noise when the lights are on and the key is off because my daughter killed my truck today by turning on the headlights and the gf didnt relize it. haha

but i have some very good news:I may be getting an 81 4x4 short bed. needs alot of work but my friend is giving it to me for free.
