I don't know too much about the OBA stuff, but looking into a way to lubricate the compressor might be needed. Pretty sure they are normally lubricated by Freon in the system. Might be able to use something like an inline tool oiler on the intake side of the compressor.

Gonna keep an eye on this as this is one of those useful things I would like to eventually do.

I plan on doing the same thing one of these days. I don't need the A/C in the runner so might as well do something useful with it. I plan on putting the tanks in/above the underneath spare tire spot. I have an old compressor that I'm going to use for the pressure regulator and pressure shutoff switch as well.

No A/C on mine, should make it a little simpler for me. Nothing to remove just add.

I have a few minutes and got to do some catching up. Ouch on your bumper, hate to see that happen, but its not to bad of a repair, I have a custom bumper similiar to yours.

I got to do the same thing to my 4rnr as the back seats and floor boards are full of parts and tools. I like the factory striping on SCAV. I have been looking into putting some stripes on my wife truck and eventually on my 88. At first I figured it would cost quite a bit but looking into it there are several places that can produce similar stripes fairly reasonable. Will be glad to get to that point.

I have subscribed to your build and a few others and it really puts the fire in me to get after mine. Especially after seeing you getting to play in the mud with yours. Im looking forward to that day.

vacuumed the inside of the dash compartment srry no pics, depending on how things go tomarrow and the weather i may tape up some of the elecrical lines (stock and mod) to make it a little neater.

aslo i finally read what the deck light mod was, and i may look in to doing tht as well. seems pretty simple

I know about the saving some money part, that is a downer. Im going to be on a tight budget this month, but the good thing on these is there is always something that needs done for free or cheap. A gallon of Bondo is $15 and will keep me plenty busy for a while. Elbow grease is free.

So in a way it is a good thing to get the pesky little things you might would rather not do, Done.

Here is wishing you luck.

so i got some work done today.

first off give some history. when i got the truck the rear window switch didnt work due to it being seized withe dirt goo and what ever else. thts why i dont have the original center consol. i threw it out with all 3 switchs being stuck. and then finding out my rear compartment comp. was bad. so instead of spending $200+ i found the wires tht went in to the computer tht ran my back window and cut andspliced into them then ran some wire to my dash with a mercedesbenz window switch.

so today i decided to cut the zip ties holding the wires together and taping them up neater. here u can see me half way through

here is an after pic along with my rear speaker wire

since i plan on using this truck and using it hard i decided it would be good to trry and keep all electical plugs as high off the floor as possible just for when i play in deep mud/water so i taped my plug up and tiptied it as high as i could.
thts much better then laying on the floor behind the kick panel

then i had to add sum wire to the rear window switch becaus before it ran the same way but under the steering column behind the lower dash to the bezel on the right hand side of the dash under the gauge cluster where the cruise control is on some models.
now it runs striaght up from the floor next to the wiring harnnes to the back of the dash, out of sight out mind.

and a picture of just the cluster and part of the dash on

and since i am trying tto prevent water from hitting any electrical i moved my ecu

ima wait to screw it in until i put the dash back together to make sur the wires will reach.

on a side note, this is my removable pins for my door

2 bolts i found in a bucket at the fam's shop, tht i bent. the only things with these is i had to remove the plastic inserts tht were used with the original pins.

You have really gotten things done. My back glass doesnt work either. I know the motor works and I have replaced my swithces. I havent really havent been working on the window problem to hard just yet. But may look at your way of doing this. I might have to get a few tips and pics of this from you later. Electric is not a strong point with me.

Great job.

I hear you on the weather. We had a few nice days and I made the most of them that I could, but it has turned cold again and I was really getting into spring. I lived in San Diego and I do miss the weather you have out there. Plus you dont have to deal with rust in Cali. You also have a lot better selection of Toyotas out there.

Wish I could help you on the Solid Axle Swap. Never done a swap. Looks like you are headed in the right direction.

did the front brakes on the yota, they were about 2/3 the way down but i was getting a super annoying squek everytime i stoped or slowed down. so for 20 bucks it isnt bad to change them.
i also took my pass. hub apart and cleaned all the mud and water out of it the was making it hard to luck and un-lock. srry no pics
