Yeah it's really fun to drive, way more power than the 22re and no need to re-gear for 35's!

I eventually want to put something more economical into one of my trucks. I am hoping to find a OM617. I love the sbf but don't think one will get to where I want to be. This gas wont stay cheap for long and I am looking at long term.
Keep the snow up there, lol. Looks like you got hit with a lot of snow. We do have the cold temps. I see where the builds have slowed in the areas that got hit with the cold and don't blame them. I would be trying to stay warm myself. Hope this cold passes soon.
That having the first page for a reference does make threads more useful. I have looked somethings up on yours in the past and it make it so much easier. Thanks for doing that!!!

The temps here have gone up to mid 30's, snows been melting during the day, with none in forcast for the next week.
Hopefully it stays like that, once it drops below that I lose all motivation!
I got the idea for the "table of contents" from you! I does make thing so much easier to find later, especially after a few years and the addition of dozens of pages! I wish I had started doing that from the begining, it was difficult to make space after the fact, lol. dropzone has a good one on his build as well. I believe I have links to both of yours in mine as references for how to fix certain issues.

Now Chef is really one who needs to make a Table of Content page for his build thread lol.

Dude his instagram page is just as bad lol. Only I think it's harder to find because you can't navigate through pages. You just gotta keep scrolling and scrolling and scrolling down for older posts. And I noticed that sometimes my phone will freeze when I try visiting pages with tons of pix like that.

But he does have some really awesome info that I have copied such as extra fuse block, higher output alternator, interior lighting, brand reliability & reputation, personal experience, how to take interior pieces apart and a lot more.
^Yep, I got the idea from Terry, but Mark'a thead is the reason I did it, figured I better get mine under control before it was too late, lol.

Yeah a couple of the guys keep telling me to join instagram. I just don't see the appeal. Forums are much more detailed if you ask me and you get to have the conversations and relationships that we all develop on them. Search function is also a huge bonus. I guess I'm officially a grandpa and out of the youth loop but eh screw it!

Hey Ed I see in your signature that you will soon be putting a new radiator in. What made you choose the CFR? Also which one of theirs fits our trucks? Their site seems to only have Chevy and Ford radiators?

The main reason I went with CFR is they had the size I needed in stock, and the price was right ($199.) My new radiator and 14" electric fan with shroud are alot thicker than my old one, so I'm going to have to cut more of my core support out and push the radiator forward as close to the grill as possible. I needed a shorter radiator to keep it above the front crossmember. So I went a little wider and shorter 24"wide by 16-1/2" tall. And like you mentioned the it's for a Ford, so the hose outlets should match up with my motor without needing to be adapted like my old bottom radiator hose. I'm not sure if they make a direct replacement for our trucks, are you looking to upgrade?

Hey buddy! Right now I'm running a toyota V6 radiator that's not providing enough cooling, it's fine for back and forth to work, but alot of stop and go city driving or low speed wheelin and it will start running hot. I'm currently using two 10" electric fans side by side that just barely fit in the engine compartment, and it's only drawing air through the center section of the radiator.

Yeah I am in dire need of an upgrade. The radiator from my 22re does not keep the 3rz nearly cool enough to my liking. I have been leaning towards this one:

Hey guys, I thought I'd give a little update. As some of you know I was announced as the winner of the BFGoodrich's All Terrian KO2 Rocks to Riches tire contest! I'm very excited, as well as honored to have been chosen from all the awesome folks here on YotaTech that entered the contest.
I recently received my BFG tire voucher to redeem my prize, but am a little confused. If you read the contest rules I posted below, under #6 prizes, it states that the winner will receive one set of (4) KO2 tires or products of equal value worth $1200-$1400. But on my certificate (I posted a pic of the certificate below) it states 4 tires worth up to $750. So I'm going to have to contact BFG and see what they say. Also looking at their website, they didn't have the KO2's listed for a 15" wheel, which is what I am currently running. They stated or product of equal value, wonder if I could gget some KM2's...

Another quick update. My 4runner started getting gutless on the way home from work a couple days ago, it was hard to tell at first because I was driving in about 6" of snow, and it was slick, but it felt like it didn't have its normal power. The next day on the way to work, the roads were bare and wet, and I could definitely notice the lack of power. After I got off work that night, and tried starting it, it didn't want to stay running. I had to keep the gas pedal to the floor to keep it running, it was sputtering, then started backfiring through the carb. I knew I was over due for some plugs and wires, so I started withe replacing those. It didn't make any difference. So I tried messing with the timing. I had to turn the distributor almost all the way counter clockwise before it would run good. So I'm pretty sure my timing chain jumped a tooth. At least I was able to get it back home where I can work on it. But it will be down for awhile. Since I will have to pull the radiator out to get to the timing chain cover I will probably finally do my radiator swap while I'm at it. I just need to gather a few parts.

Lets hope its not what I had with my 22re. Mine acted just like that and ended up being no compression in 2 cylinders. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you brother. As far as the tire business that is bullcrap that they gave you a voucher for just over half what was outlined in the contest. Heres hoping BFG steps up to the plate on this one and does right by you.
On the tires, I sent BFG an email, and they quickly responded. They were aware of the price discrepancy between the prize listed in the contest, and what was printed on my voucher, and said they would honor the $1200-$1400 as listed in the contest rules. I also asked about tire sizes, as they didn't have very many listed for the KO2 on their website. They said that they are going to be releasing new sizes throughout the year. My size (35x12.50x15LT) won't be released until Oct, 2015. , (my voucher expires in July) They asked me to tell them what kind of vehicle the tire were going on, and they'd try to find a size as close to it as possible. I know Chef already has a set, so I might have to step up in wheel size, I think he has 35x12.50 on 17's.
