Teflon tape is some handy stuff to have. I keep two rolls in the shop and it has worked several times for me. I know you have the 302 in yours, but it is recommended for the Cold Start Injector on the 22re so think you will be in good shape with it.

So I was coming home from work this morning coming off a graveyard shift going on 27hours without sleep, dreaming of a hot shower and a warm bed. The roads were icy and I had the 4runner in 4HI.
I came up this hill to see a familiar site of half of dozen turkeys on the side of the road getting ready to cross. One already had crossed and another was in my lane. I wasn't in the mood, I've stopped for them dozens of times in the past, but I wasn't going to risk braking in the slick conditions so I kept on and figured he would move back to the side. That's when the turkey did the unexpected. instead of running back to the side he came from, he started running in front and away from me and then took flight. He bounced off the front of my Runner, it sounded like someone hit the front with a dead blow hammer. I was hoping he bounced off the bumper, but had a gut feeling it was higher by the hood and headlight.
I didn't stop, I was about 3 miles from the house and figured I'd check it out then. Here's the carnage: Busted headlight bezel (not to surprised) bent the lip of the hood in, (kinda surprised about that) headlight is pointing up a little out of adjustment, might of bent the bucket. Not to bad, I can bend the lip of the hood back in place, guess I can only blame myself, lol.

You should have grabbed him and made some dinner! I have hit a few turkey in my time. Every morning I pass a ton of them on the same strip. Not sure how I haven't hit one in 4 years. I'll admit, sometimes I try. Haha
I might have a headlight bezel. I'll look for you.

I save the deer for the wife's rig, lol, I hit one while back in her Durango!
Thanks guys for the offer on the headlight bezel/bucket! I'll probably hold off for the moment, it's not that noticable.

Yeah, I felt kinda stupid afterwards, especially after hitting that deer not that long ago, but it could have been worse, glad he didn't hit the windshield, it already has a crack running across it, probably would have caved it in!

I hear ya, I did some trading to my dad for these. He gave me an old WWII 1911 about 7-8 years ago and wanted it back, I was just going to just trade him for the stainless Springfield GI 1911, but he threw in the Walther P22! I can't argue with my old man, he's always right, lol.
