Ah hahhhhhhhhhhhhh, you trickededed me! 94, swapped console... got it! haha.

Glad you got a laugh... MY GOAL IN LIFE, one of them, is to 'bring light' to the life of others... I mean, it's so easy to be a BUTTHEAD W/ATTITUDE! right? hehe.

Right on.. Well, I don't mind selling it, but only if I can find another one for ya/me, too... Cuz I do want to use it for a button for the back window... This way I can just tap into the wires in the back that are hot to the motor itself.. Ya know? Anyway, we'll talk about it then, no worries... And I wish I had grabbed everything I couldn't think of while there, each time... I ALWAYS forget something and then I'm already home(especially pissed when I FINALLY see a clean 1st Gen there.... WHICH IS VERY RARE to see one at all any more... and I don't grab EVERYTHING I can get my hands on or, well, maybe the whole rig! I could have had a Turbo, but I let this guy have first dibs ..... He was there before me... Then, he nearly destroyed the motor and turbo bracket and DIDN'T EVEN TAKE ANYTHING! That thing was COMPLETE, and I freaking passed! STUPID~! NO MORE, bud... I'm gonna grab ANYTHING I see that I can use... And even off other years, ya know? I have stuff even for V6 motors from there.... I KNOW people/maybe even me, will need them some day! lol.

I'll shoot you a text in a bit

So I went to 2 local Auto Junk Yard Pick-Ur-Part with Chef yesterday and got a couple of things for my truck. IT WAS A HOT DAY AND WE BAKED IN THE SUN. But definitely worth it because i finally found my spare tire. So here are the Rig's at the parking lot.

Ok so about 2 months ago i found a set of 4 Sport King A/T Steel Radial Tires(33/12.5/R15).
With a so so decent amount of life left in them. So i went ahead and bought the set of 4 for $125. not bad right. For those of you who dont know, BFG makes these tires, the only difference between the 2 is that BFG has 3ply walls. These Sport kings only have 2ply. and its the same brand as the "MUD KING" Tires that im sure youve seen other people with on yotatech. These are pretty much the same thing as the BFG A/T's just 2ply. (at least that is what i read online.)
Anyway ever since i bought those 4 tires ive been trying hard to find a matching tire for when i finally do get my tire rack. ill at least be able to have a matching tire and wheel mounted. And ive had bad luck finding them till yesterday. I found a 2nd gen 4runner with another set of 4Sport King Tires Exactly the same as what i have but with almost double the ammount of tred that mine already have. only downfall was that 3/4 tires had lots of Sun Cracks all throughout the tires. so i didnt get the full set of 4. BUT There was one tire that was in decent condition with minimal cracks, So i went ahead and bought the tire along with the SR5 rim to match my stock set of rims.
Anyway here are the pix:
Here are the set of 4 i bought 2 months ago

and this is how much tred they have left. about 1cm or so:

Here is my new spare tire along with the other 4:

And this is the amount of tred the spare has. As you can see its almost 2ce the amount as the others:

Here's a close up on the grip or whatever its called:

And just another pic for fun:

I REALLY WISH I COULD USE THESE Tires now. But their too big for the height of my truck right now. So These are being saved for when i have my SAS done and the 4" Lift put in. It's gonna be really nice. 4" lift kit + 2 more inches with those 33" tires plus whatever slight lift the SFA gives when you install it. (ive heard it sits slightly taller then stock IFS trucks. so im just sayin'. Thats gonna be a good 6 INCHES taller then what its at now! WOOO MAN cant wait!

IN TIME, bud! You'll use em.... all in good time. Andddddddd, ...that's why I'm urging you to TAKE THIS OUT for the day to the crest with me! hahaha.

Had a good day out there... Was great to meet and hang out a bit.... you're a solid Brother from the Yotatech-Mother! hehehe.

Seriously though........ let's get up there mang! You might as well beat all that stuff to hell before you............TORCH IT ALL OFF, eh? lol.

Maybe do the sub install first, or even up there, right? WHY NOT, it's a couple hour job and who says it can't be done in a Campground across from the creek/some wheeling? Maybe you could get your girl to get the day off, and THEN, at LEAST you'll have given her a 'fix' for now, while waiting for the SAS? hahaha... Plus, she'll have a ride in the 'before and after' under her belt.... and appreciate that CHUNK OF CABBAGE you're about to throw down on it! hehe.

As some famous guy says, ...........'LET'S DO THIS!' lol.

PS> the reason I was saying "ditch the rim" is because, well... Isn't your spare an aluminum 5th rim? You could have just pulled that and then had the 'tire/alone' slapped on it, then put the 33's on the other 4 Stock Aluminums?? Can't remember if you have the original Stock aluminum ones or if it came with those black ones?????

Yea they have a couple of 2nd gen 4runners there. Majority with those rims. You won't have trouble finding them that's for sure. I recommend u call cuz they're having a 50% off sale for the 4th of July. I'm sure it goes on for more then one day. But I'd rather pay $20 then $40 per rim ya know.

Yep, always plenty of those there(well, not always, but USUALLY, and eventually, for sure!)... At 2$ to get in, it's worth a shot, right

The one he got that off had 3 more remaining... If you do go down there early, stuff it in a TOTALLY POCrap ride in the corner behind the trucks.... then grab it during the sale, July 4th - July 8th

Lol that's funny. They don't come around too Much by where u live? It seems 4runners out here always have them available. At least when I go to the junk yards. And yea it was fun. Found a couple of things my truck needed. So that was good. And got a whole supply of fuses. Always good to have fuses. other then the rim/tire I got two 2nd gen horns. A set of dashboard lights, and a vacuum hose container thing to replace the one I had on my truck that was all broken and cracked. Oh and also got another temperature sensor for the one I broke on my truck trying to remove the EGR. And a rear window button. Some more vacuum hoses. And a few more spare Toyota screws. I got a whole ton of stuff off that trip. Then Mark gave me a new shifter handle thing. And a charcoal canister cover since mine was missing. Oh and I brought home a couple of those vacuum hose sensors that I bought a while bacl ago. The red, blue, and green ones. Just in case I ever need more again.

Damn I just realized that I ended up with taking home a lot of stuff when I type it all out like that lol

Great news! Ok, so now you have that set of Black Aluminum rims too... So you could either have the 33's mounted to those or just mount the 33's to the SR5 rims, .... right on. So wait, ... does that mean you have 6 SR5 RIMS? Cuz usually the spare is an SR5 rim, as well, like on mine. That way you could just keep your eyes peeled for another 33 tire and you'll have a set of 6. Couldn't hurt.

Definitely had a great time.... except for the lobster neck! haha... Of course, that didn't become very apparent until afterwards, so technically, had a good time hunting that day. I was talking to Redeth pertaining to how crazy the people selling them on CL ask for them... It's strange, cuz most people I read, at least on here, aren't big fans of them??? Nonetheless, they usually ask around 200$ for 4 SR5 rims. Or 75$ each when they just have one. I, personally, LOVE these rims..... I think they're very complimentary to the lines of the truck, and they're DEFINITELY solidly made.... And light to boot, so if you have em, why get rid of em, right? I guess if you're running 37x15" tires... can't really use em, haha.. But up to 33, max, they DO work. I'd rather have them in a lil and SLIGHTLY rounded on top than bubbled out like a Hawaiian Style thing.... 31x10.50's on 12" Rims? You know what I Mean, haha... Less likely to pop off the bead that way... Just wear in the center a lil faster. But I run 31x10.50's on em and they wear PERFECTLY, every set I've had. You're a GREAT hunter of parts/rigs, Terry... YOU WILL find em if you want em bad enough!! hahaha...

Yeah, you SCORED! haha... Was very glad for ya.. And I got some stuff I needed as well. Each time's a crapshoot, ya know? Next time, maybe I'll score again, as I have many times

How's the neck, Richard? .... Cool Washcloth, eat lots of cherries and cocoa butter helps! hahaha.

Jmc88runner no problem. Alwaysto save a couple of bucks when u can. Why not.

Chef, as far as I know my spare rim is one of those ugly cheap looking rims. Then again I have never removed it because I don't have the jack bar to bring the tire down. So who know it is possible that i do have another one. But like I said just by glancing at it from underneath the truck it looks like he cheap ones.
Also yea ur right I really wanna keep my black rims but I have to find another one or 2 that look like it. Until then I'm just gonna be using my SR5 rims. I really like the black on grey look and I don't wanna OSI.t over the sr5 ones with black paint because they are nice. But i have seen some painted black before and they look pretty nice too. So who knows. If it were my decision id stick to using the SR5 rims for off road and the black ones for street.

You could just paint the offset parts of the SR5 rims black, then paint the outer parts "Steel Duplicolor", like that guy on the ..... dang, can't remember the thread.....where was that rig? It's a silver rig with a green fender, rusted bed... He stripped the clear coat on em and painted them Stainless, rather than alumicote... He's thinking about painting the inset parts. I've through about it, too... Painting some Red Trim in there... But NAHHHH, I'm cool how they are. I think they look nice. I think he posted on the 'what did you do to your rig today' thread. I'll find the permalink and toss it to ya... I think the 'Steel' color looks GREAT, without painting them black(which I just don't like)..... TOTALLY understand if you did that, and don't think I'm judging ya! hahahaha... It doesn't look terrible... It's just... I always liked the look of semi-brushed/polished aluminum rims.... Like my Outlaw 2's on my 32's you saw in the garage?

Yesterday I went ahead and bypassed my BVSV to see what'd happen. And today while driving to work my my check engine light turned back on at 18 miles. what a bummer. I'm wondering if that means that there is another problem hiding somewhere with the sensors or maybe because i bypassed the BVSV and its not working that maybe thats why it keeps popping up. Man i don't know... I gotta check my vacuum lines for the 4th time. I'm wondering if maybe I have some hoses backwards or something.

Also I went ahead and tried a few other things. First I swapped out the blown dashboard lights and it looks alright. It got the job done for now till I get my LED ordered. Also the temperature sensor didn't fit the connection clip that's to my truck. I guess that's what i get for getting it off a 2nd gen, but it was worth a try.

Also tried to connect the rear window button but the connection was also different. So i clipped the connection on the donor button. And connected through the wires and it worked better then the one i just installed the other day. But... Now the problem is that my up button doesn't work. the down works fine. But in order to bring the window down I need to turn the lights on. And my up button doesn't work but if i turn the lights off it will go up by itself.

And last but not least those 2nd gen horns were also a different connection. So those didn't work either. Man.....

I might have something that will work bit juat in case I will keep ur offer in mind. And as far as painting the rims. I'm not sure. The rims look nice. But then again black would look good as well. But I think it might make the rims look dirty don't you think? Ill give it a shot if i can find a good example of how they look and like them.

Just found a problem with my vacuum hoses. 3 were misplaced but they all connect side by side so it was kind of hard to catch the first few times around. The 2 of which connect to my green (EGR) sensor and 1 which connects to my red(FPU) sensor.

Guess it doesn't help having all new sensors when u still have them plugged in wrong.

Anyway. I followed the lines and one connects into the EGR valve. The other into my Q port on the Vacuum Modulator. And the last one runs all the way to the right side of the motor to a small valve(which I don't know its purpose or name lol)

See I have 2 diagrams that I am looking at and both pictures still look confusing to me because they don't look identical in the part that I am talking about.
But anyway. that was a big break. I can definitely see how that there would cause a "no no" on the vacuum line system bringing up a check engine light.

Helpful Vacuum Line Diagrams

To everyone who has struggled or is struggling with the ton of vacuum hoses on your 3.0 motors this post is for you. Don't do the same mistake I did. Make sure all your lines are connected correctly!
this first picture below was given to me directly from the Toyota Dealership. so rest assured these are the correct locations:

This next picture is off another thread which I found most helpfulto finding out names to parts and a more detailed look at where some vacuum lines go.

Hope this post is helpful to those of you that need it.

I like the SR5 rims and will get some someday, I hope. I had a set but the trade was a great one for me. Got a whole truck. Occasionally I see a set on Clist and they are very high priced like Mark said.

Mark..Always wondered how people got them looking so great. Sounds like they paint them.

Redeth..Getting the 500 different vaccum lines right can be a trick. That whay I keep an extra truck to compare them too.lol.
