These are some old videos of right after the spool went in. I need to get back to the shop. Taking the truck to an off road park in NH end of october and still need to do a few more things. Some of them are sideways, sorry about that, they were from his phone.

Had a mouse nest in the fan from last winter. Got that cleaned out.

Finished getting all the nasty carpet out.

Before:

After:

Installed one of these guys because the breather was clogged causing the pinion to leak. Might still need a seal, but well see if it drys up.

Brought my winch with me this weekend to do some more testing. Soloinoids all checked out, but the motor wouldn't spin. So we pulled the motor casing off to find a boat load of corrosion. Nothing looked too worn out, just dirty, so we started taking it apart to clean and re assemble. This thing started life on a trailer, and it looks as it was NEVER covered.

All 4 of the brushes were frozen. Again, dissemble, clean and reassemble.

Got it all back together and it works!! But, still clicks and goes faster spooling out then spooling in. Next Ill take the gear side of it apart and clean and re grease.

And a quick run around the yard before it was time to go.

Sliders should be on Monday. Next on the list is re work the exhaust higher up and still need to mount a fire extinguisher, and I guess that I should probably get some paint on that bob job. Haha.

OOOH, I knew it! lol. Seriously, nice work man! And, .....isn't it amazing how seemingly lil things like 'wipers' can literally keep you from going on under certain circumstances????? lol.

Toyo..... which picture? The one with his sliders all wrapped up, or another one? Sorry, I'm a lil slow today! lol. I'm about to bite the bullet on sliders, and I want the right ones... Which I guess are like 4xInnovations and a couple others, right? So, when you said "the plate welded on top"... I think I know what you mean,...and I wanna see that!lol.

so far 4xInnovations are the ones i want with the kickout. but i like to look of how it all wrapped up but if the wrap was all metal lol. i would build my own but it seems cheaper to buy 4xInnovations and plate them up. not a fan of tubes. prefer all squares as the runner has more square lines than round

Ahhhh, i gotcha. Hypothetical Hippo in the room! lol. yeah, that might look great. You basically mean to weld a plate all the way across the top of the slider so it looks like a solid piece of metal on top of the outer edge tube? Yeah, I've never seen that. You have pics of that somewhere? Or are you saying 4xinnovations does that already?
