Wink

I must say. The trucks ride much smoother and doesn't bouncy as much when hitting bumps & pot holes. The front end doesn't dive in any more on hard braking..

The stock front shocks were way toasted . They saw the trash can quickly.
Well... Monday needs to arrive. The rest of the parts will be here then.

Yeah, you're definitely going to have to trim after the BJ spacer install. It should clear afterwards, but it looks like you won't be able to turn without rubbing. Those things stick out pretty far.

More trimming maybe & some pounding. Coils will be put on Thursday and still got to finish hookijng up the tranny cooler as well.
I may as well replace my ball joint when I install the spacers, looks like it's leaking a bit.

Going to continue more trimming tomorrow . For the bumper. I stop at the first bracket on the corner that's holding it.
Ima just chop that piece off and the valance bumper below too. Once it clears. Tire won't be able to go on officially yet because I'm still waiting for the other set of lug nuts. Eta to be here this Friday.

High winds and lots of rain today. The snow is on its way. !!!

Did some more trimming on the front bumper today, the tires now clear the front under normal condition. Not sure what will happen under some flex.

Decided to see what the rear would look like. Looks like it will clear it under no lift. Coils are still gonna go in tho. I used a bottle jack , but still wasn't high enough. Will be getting some springs compressor tomorrow to install them . Meanwhile doing that . The bump is barely hanging off. Yikes . Kinda made me rethink about the zuk coils & how they are goin to stay on. We shall see...

Thanks !!
So far I have not fully tested them yet. Meaning I have not drove with them.
1. Because I have only have 20 lugs nut . The rest will come Friday. And the reg nuts won't work.
But the front won't rub ...driving around town at least. But then I'm sure if it flex or really hits a bad pot hole, it'll may rub.

Tomorrow I'll install the zuk coils& finish up the tranny cooler. And Friday morning the tires should officially be on.
After all of this. I'm thinking about flushing the differential fluid and maybe flush out the coolant as well .

awesome! Im sure its tough living in the last frontier. Its not like you can just run all over town looking for truck parts. I bet it makes you really have to plan ahead. and frustrating when the project hits a snag.

Yeah. It's Alaska. Some parts you can find at the local auto parts.
But mostly everything I buy if online , even with my motorcycle as well. Sometimes it's just easier and happens to be cheaper as well to...hence my tires.. Locally they wanted $1300 for those mickys.

Oil change was previous done . And when winters trucks I don't plan on touching or wrenching much . Just keep her running
Btw I fill up my tank today.. Only 8 gallons . But wow ! I was getting 11 mpgs...!

Most in town and some highway.
I've been keeping my ECT. It makes her roar a bit. But I'm thinking that's what sucking it up a bit. Last time I check around 18-19 mpg. Hahah we'll see how she likes these 33's.

Yes. I drove 102 miles after a full tank. And filled up with 8.8 gals.

And I don't really gas it that much with my driving. Oh well.i didn't buy this truck for "mileage" anyways.

Nice build. Im running 32s and getting atleast 18mpg. Thats gassing on it, im sure id get more on the highway. Also if you go up a steep incline im afraid those tires might tear into your rear qaurters (which look decent and not rusty like mine) I made blocks until i can afford chevy 63s in the rear. I didnt want to do it that way but i made them out of stuff i had lying around cause i was short handed on the moneytree.

Well they day started around 9am.
Went to the local parts. Got diff fluid, extra 4 foot for the tranny cooler, and the spring compressor. Which was the wrong one. Went back later to get the right one.

Tackle the tranny cooler and rear diff fluid change. The rear fluid looks pretty clean still.

The removal of the spare tire is a must. O
Took about 15 mins just to fill it up. The oil was somewhat cold and think too. So it slowllyyyy went down the funnel. Music was nearby ..

Whole the tranny was draining. I kept switching back to the front to hook up the tranny cooler lines. Pretty easy, just had a few leaks. But right the bolts & so far so good.

Defiantly will come in handy now since I do tow my grizzly in the summer.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/104250693@N07/10200097725/http://www.flickr.com/photos/104250693@N07/10200097725/]image[/url, on Flickr

Once all that was done . Had a quick bite & ran back to get the right spring compressor. The first one I got was the one that went inside the coils.

And she is going get ZUK !!

I did use the bottle jack to help.

Once iNstalled the coils measured at 9" ish..
