After reading some other build (rattlewagon) and the fat the function is alway better than look.
I think I will start doing some trimming on the front fender .
About 2" off. And 2" for the rear as well . Cause it's either do it now , or have rubbing issue down the road when I'm off roading .!

Again the front still run only at full locking turn. The tire is rubbing with the bottom pinch weld. And doesn't seem like I can pound it any more. Might try grinding it off.
Pics soon& video clip.

Changed your mind already huh??? Lol. It is not an easy decision to cut up a perfectly good truck, but it will look good in the end. And it will definitely set your truck apart from the crowd. Good luck. The method I did was pretty simple just takes focus. I "rolled" the edge of my fenders to prevent my children from accidentally grabbing them and cutting themselves. I'm sure it will turn out great. Take your time and think everything through.

Hahah yeah. Think about.
If I went wheeling with some buddies. They'll be like each "his trucks is nice, but he won't be able to go where we are. "
I had that toguht too with my motorycle. After a few month of making her look pretty. I gave up and stop worrying about how due looks, & focus on how she'll run.

I'll take my time cutting 1" off first as a practice & may even get a big cardboard as a template.

can someone confirm that the front diff plug is the bolt in the front when the skid plate is removed

I hope it turns out great. I found that a grinder and a cut off wheel are easier to use than a sawzall. The sawzall bounced to much where as the grinder was smooth as long as you didn't let it run away on you.

Another thought. Be prepared to do something different for your inner wheel wells. The stock ones won't stretch to fit the new opening. Find some sheets of rubber or something like that to use. Just a heads up.

Don't some just teach their plastic linner? I know it's going to get cut for sure. And was thinking about just removing them out ..

I would put some sort of liner in the front at least. That way rain/ snow won't get built up in the fender by the doors and possibly make its way into the cab

Just sharing with you the reason recommend getting some inner liner for your front wheel wells.

Yup. That's what mines look like right now. I'll deff find something to line it up.

I cut the fender !!!
Only about an inch tho. Looks pretty clean. Will get some pics later.
With the zuk coils install , the car does have a weird stance tho. The front needs to be level.
I still have the bj spacers. But maybe next spring I'll install them... :/

sweet. where are the pictures??? I just thought I would show you what you are getting into. I get some snow here in Northern Indiana ( a lot of lake effect from Lake Michigan) but Im absolutely positively its nothing like the amount of snow you get in the wild frontier of Alaska.

Ill get some up soon.
Cut them, but didNt do the fold em them style like yours, just grind it smoothly out. I'm still in te same boat as yours tho. It'll rub at full locking steer against the pinch weld.drvig around city is fine tho, but on the field. I can see it being an issue.

I found some stair tread made on vinyl that may work as the inner liner. Just have to find a way to hold them in place..... *zip ties*
