Wink Picked up an 86 runner today.

Good engine. But bell housing shot, and slave cylinder bad. Body is kinda bad, careless about cosmetic .$200 you can't beat it.

got it both for $100 bucks !!!

they are new too , owner said it was under 1k miles.. some punks slashed two of the other ones

I'll be planning to use these two for spares…

well be rotating my tires tomorrow , so ill slap these on and see how they look and what not. they are on 15x10 and same backspacing as what i have there on now, 4.5" i believe.

Then we picked up a 3.4 for a buddy .. yup fun stuff...

oh and i sold my topper shield!! going to miss it , but didn't need it anymore as well since i'll be needing the back to haul my meat trailer for the upcoming hunting season.
Truck does look more different now and somewhat bulky looking,i like it tho.

Talking ADD Swap out to Aisin manual hubs

kept my Aisin front eh runner and planning to swap out the ADD system ,

first time rebuilding them and oh weeeeeee. wear gloves and have a loooot of towel/paper.

all the cleaning is done, just need to paint the knob red, and wait till the gaskets arrive at the local dealership. should be able to swap them out this week.

for a first timer, i took my sweet time , about 2 1/2 hours cleaning and painting em. Followed some write up to guide me thru. this is deff easy to do. can't wait to get them on.

Nothin much ,

Just swap out my air filter housing back to a stock one that isn't drilled out.
Gasket for the AISIN came in and got the manual hubs in. Can't tell any difference yet or in mpg . Well see.

Pick up a new toy this week. A stealth fighter.

Wink

Asin feedback, well so far the manual hub seems to make the truck a bit smoother and somewhat a slight increase on mpg. Not to dramatic, the CV axles will need replace soon anyways, cracks are appearing. Planning to do it soon in the next few weeks. With warmer weather , the extra gravel bags used for traction was taken off , so that may had help too .
Other than that, not much mod in the making. Still thinking about a winch system and some rock sliders

I would just get new CV boots for your existing axles. They're much cheaper and you keep the strength of your factory axles. To change the boots out is only about another 12-15 minutes per axle. Just make sure to matchmark everything on the axle so it goes back together exactly as it was taken apart.

Oh, and sweet job on the Aisin swap. That was one of my most favorite mods, not just because of the benefits, but because they're so darn fun to rebuild
