Talking 1.5' bj spacer, new bal joint along with new brake pads installed

from ground to the fender , the front measured roughly at 36".

the old pads weren't so bad, pistons needed a good cleaning tho.

set EM aside...

http://www.flickr.com/photos/104250693@N07/10321137804/

the plan was to use the original ball joints.but since it was PITA and the sutd would not break loose.. i ran to the store and got the new ball joints.

The CV looks okay , so the diff drop wont be going in .... yet i think.

....
took me about 8 hours or so, toook my sweet time, and had to run to the store twice..no more rubbing on the back pinch weld. while the tires were off, i did also more grinding on the pinch weld. think that helped it out a bit too.

the truck's front now reads at 38" instead of 36"...

over all so good. o0ohwee what a day !..

i head this mickys thompson are bad on ice...so i may be taking them ooff anyways....

i wait till it snow and see how they perform.

Nice Pics. Your truck is very clean for the year. Most of them here are rusted to death.

Ha! I washed mine up today. I can't go a month without washing it.

As for the bolts, I went back and zoomed in one of your pics and it looks like the bolts in the kit your got are grade 12.9, which is a metric grade that's roughly the same if not stronger than the US grade 8. (EDIT: A grade 8 is actually the US equivalent to a metric grade 10.9. So going to a grade 8 would only hurt you.)
(EDIT 2:
From this link:http://www.boltdepot.com/fastener-in...ade-chart.aspx

A grade 8 bolts yield strength is 130,000 psi and a tensile strength of 150,000 psi
A metric 10.9 has a yield strength of 940 MPa, which converts to 136,335.438 psi
A metric 12.9 has a yield strength of 1100 MPa, which converts to 159,547.47 psi

What this is showing us is at the point where the grade 8 bolt breaks, the 12.9 bolt isn't even to the point of a plastic deformation. However, grade 8 suspension parts are used in suspensions all the time. So getting grade 8 bolts isn't necessarily bad, it's just unnecessary since you already have something stronger. )

This pic:

Did you torque the nuts down when you installed them? That's the first thing I can think of. Other than that, it could just be getting loose because of the nuts in the kit. I know some cheaper kits like mine and yours come with one lock nut per bolt. Companies like 4Crawler and Wabfab have one regular nut and one lock nut per bolt in their kits. When I installed mine, I just put a lock washer in between the lock nut and regular washer for extra protection instead of the regular nut, just because it's what I had and I haven't had any issues...however, you've got me wanting to check them
