yes 4.88s are a very good thing to have. now put on the 33s and switch to a manual and you will wake up that motor. good luck on the build.

Cool

Not much done.

Light bar and hella light should be in next two days.got Thursday to install those suckers.

Just ordered a tow package kit on Amazon to install to the truck as well, not really trusting any towing with the bumper.

Got the hitch,4-way t-connector & receiver

Glad it all worked out! That crooked-ness will adjust out nicely. I see you painted your brackets black. I should have done that on mine.

I was hoping this thing mounts to the frame. But it looks pretty sturdy on the bumper.

Rattle can it black , threw about 3 coats.. Just looks better and hopefully prevent any rust.

Well got some time on the truck.
Hella lights are installed, and got my Reese hitch install & trailer wire as will.
Had to take off my spare tire. Wow !! This thing is old and dirty , but actaully had great tread , but has some cracks here and there. It was also a 31x10.50 size .. Wonder if that was the original?

Will get photos up soon..

that's about normal. I feel sorry for you that you are paying 4.19 for 90 octane fuel. Especially since a lot of oil and fuel are refined in Alaska. Around here 93 octane is premium fuel and I pay about 4.05 a gallon. If you are using 90 octane what is your timing set at? higher the octane the more timing you can have. I have mine set at 15-16 degrees. try to set yours at 12 and see how it feels

Planning to just a simple lift , what ya think about this kit ?
After something like that,I'll just upgrade the shocks with some comp pro or rough country

And the zuk mod,,, thinking this route now.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-RACING-REAR-COIL-SPRING-5-OD-X-13-TALL-BLACK-MAGIC-/280269072877?pt=Race_Car_Parts&hash=item414156a9ed&vxp=mtr
Shall I do the 11" or the 13"s ??

The 3" front lift is not actually 3". In the description it says "spacers not 1:1 ratio between thickness and amount of lift achieved". Almost all BJ spacers that listed as 1.5" or greater lift mean the spacer itself if 1.5" thick and any amount of lift after that is achieved by torsion bar cranking, which I definitely don't recommend.

If you're going to do the zuk mod, I wouldn't get the kit that has rear blocks, or as they call them "coil spacers" even though the pickups don't have coils in the rear

I'd have this kit on my truck: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Toyota-IFS-Pickup-4Runner-2-5-Front-Lift-Kit-4WD-/270441652053?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A1993%7CMake%3AToyota%7CModel%3APickup&hash=item3ef7941f55&vxp=mtr It's the spacers and it also comes with differential drop and sway bar drop brackets. Most companies like WabFab or 4Crawler sell just the BJ spacers for like $120 or so.

Get a kit without the rear blocks and use the money saved for the zuk springs

Thank you! You are my guidance, since you have done it and of course u have the similar truck.

My option so far would be the 2.5" bj,zuk mod. Still not sure what spring size tho. Then after all that, I'll swap my shocks out for something better.

Been quite busy .. Nothing much done to the truck , except replaced a heater hose .was leakin coolant.

Anyways been out hunting , and I have been towing my atv with the over drive on (light off on the dashboard) and heard that can be really bad !!

Yikes, we'll I'm out for moose hunting tomorrow, and I will be towing agian, I will leave the overdrive off (light ON the dashboard) and with ETC on this time and see how she acts.

What ya think ?
