2010?! I need to revisit that thread on pirate

I have some CS alt I bought from chefyota, bit not sure what model. It came with the pigtail so I just spliced the Oem wiring if I need to go back to stock. I got the trail gear bracket but had to grind it out a lot to make room for the bolt (I bought a hardware store bolt so maybe Oem gm is thinner...)

There is a jaguar alt that is plug and play for 22re and higher amps...search here for it too!

Yea there is alot more room with the 22re compared to the 3vze. I think they might make a kit to upgrade the existing one you have???

That's interesting. I'm not sure I have heard if that before. I need to research.

I did not get them, im doing some more research. Also looking for gm cs series alternator. The guy at the scrapyard could search my year and model only and was confused when i started to explain what i was looking for. Im still waiting on my adapter plug for the wiring. I think my dads old plumbing van might have what i need. Its a late 80s 4.3 chevy.
I always thought the 2wd had 3 plus overload myself. Maybe something changed later on with the spring designs??

150$ is expensive for some used springs. When I was inquiring about them at the omaha u-pull it, they stated about the same price PLUS a core charge for each pack of 27$!!!!! Totally crazy. Im going to ask my buddy that owns a small salvage yard here in CB how much he would charge for a set of them. I will report back with my findings.

Thats a great deal.

I talked to a friend of mine that owns HWY 92 Salvage here in CB and he said he would do 30$ a pack. I didnt think that was too bad either. And it doesnt matter if they are 2wd or 4wd

The runner has no interior bulb so i stole the led out of the 88 truck and i can see in the dark now. Also running some wiring for my stereo and power inverter.Im gonna hide the inverter in the pass side cargo compartment and im gonna take a cargo cover from a dodge magnum that i aquired when bries mom wrecked theres to try and hide the stereo so i dont have some mongrel try and rip it off. Hopefully my wiring adapter comes in today so i can figure out what alternator im gonna run. I found where a guy put one on his 22re off a 95 caddy that was like 140amps. Had to do some massaging but it fit. Also happy with Lowrangeoffroads business. Also rockauto order should be here and im changing my oil, and fuel filter (remember how rusty my fuel system was??).

OH YEAH i traded my 85 for a w56 w tcase to donate for my dads 87 ex cab. Its super clean with 104k and a older gent pulled it w towbar behind a motorhome so alota miles were being towed. Im trying to get him to start a build thread for viewing pleasure.

Dude!! Your dad needs to have a build thread. I want to drool over the Pics!!!!

I think its a good idea to hide that stuff in the back. Wouldn't be a bad idea to tint the windows nice and dark in the back to help keep the criminals out.

so i installed a stereo in the runner (all stock before...) alpine mr500 amp w type r 15 sub and crappy jvc deck. Sounds loud to me but my young stereo junkie buddy says my deck is not keepin up with the rest of the system so i need a 2v or 4v preout deck to get what i want. Kinda gettin off my path with this thing at the moment but i love music and i love my runner so it makes the alternator upgrade worthy.

Called the guy thats suppost to do my alignment and no response yet. Im about to find other resources.

No parts from rock yet and no adapter plug for my alternator.

Did the box for the sub take up all your cargo space?

That's too bad on the Alignment guy. If you want to make the drive, A local dealership near me that I send my students to job shadow at does them for 49$. I could talk to my buddy that's the service manager about getting it in on a Saturday.

Didnt take up all the space but more than i wanted. It hits hard but my freind said if i had a better deck with 2v or 4v preout it would be way louder. I was listening to hankiii and rebel sons. sounds good. But im not really into the bass, id rather have some good mids and highs. I think id trade the 15 type r with the box for a good deck like a premier or alpine. Id like my cargo area for cargo, plus its only a matter of time before someone tries to steal it.

I have been out of the loop for awhile but things should be back on track. Just getting caught up on your thread. I Virago 920 street bike and enjoyed it when I was younger. I would still like to get out and ride once in awhile, but what I really would like to have again is an 87 or so Honda 250R 3 wheeler. That was the best and funnest bike I ever owned. I looked into buying another one and wow are the prices high. All of the places I used to ride have gotten shut down, but those were some great times.

Seems like they are high on their prices for leaf springs. Around here they are not to bad but they make up for the prices elsewhere. Sometimes I think our parts are made of gold at the bone yards here for what they want for them.

As far as batteries, they just do not make them as good as they used to. The ones that do last seem really high priced.

Went out sunday and climbed through some deep ditches and climbed over some fallen trees. I ended up bending up my front valance and ripping off my right front FACTORY MUDFLAP!!Yea i ended up finding my mudflap and it didnt tear through the mudflap but actually took it off where the monting screws go on the fender. The fender is actually rusted enough that it give out there.

Also scored a drivers wing window to replace my broken one. Not to bad to remove. Take off the door panel, and window crank. Then remove one 10mm bolt and 4 countersunk phillips head screws that go in on the edge of the door on top. You have to have the window down in order to get it out. Took me 30mins but could probalbly do it in less now that ive done it.I havent installed it yet but the frame on the good one isnt as nice as the existing one so im gonna try and swap the glass from the new one to my old frame.

So installing the wing window sucked. i ended up swapping the glass from the doaner frame to my existing frame (way better shape) had to remove 10mm nut w loaded spring on bottom and phillips head screw. Pay attention to the way the washers are stacked when removing the bottom 10mm nut. After installing the glass in the frame it was impossible to put it in no matter which way i tried. So i removed the drivers glass out by removing 2 10mm bolts. Much easier but still sucked. Also had to remove the trim, the clips, and the seal on the front. After this some how i got in there. I also put JOHN DEERE dry graphite in my tracks for the window and used a thin coat of wheel bearing grease to refreshen the seals. I would also like to add the door panels are very sensitive on removal and install.
