@Kelvinb,
The other day we took 2 different tanks, one off a generator and one off a boat and soaked them in muriatic acid, and it cleaned out both tanks extremely well especially the genorator tank. You just have to make sure that you take out all rubber parts, like the screw in valve on the bottom of the tank may have a rubber o-ring. And you only need to soak it for a couple of hours and then drain it and flush it out with water and let it dry real good. It worked really good for me, you would have to take tank down for sure though.

so heres some more pics. The gas tank is getting cleaner by the revolution. Also put in fresh diff fluid in the fronts and rears. Hopefully my injectors will show up tomorrow. KyleB also called me and he was stuck again so i had to take trusty buoy to the rescue.
tank rotisserie

white vinegar $3...

front diff

rear diff

stuck, no lockers

buoy to the rescue!

unstuck but popped off a valve stem, i brought a spare...urwelcome
i love my buoy!!

Great pics. I love the homemade rotisserie I bet that thing will be shining when its done.
You Need to start charging for pull outs. Haha.
Finish: definitely more affordable to get them rebuilt if possible. The whole deal costs about as much as one new injector or two rebuilt ones from a parts house.

how ya figure???
Theyre all an improvement from what they were and all passed specs. Resistance levels approximately the same, pressures the same, Maybe i should have blown up the pic of the results...
installed the injectors, rail, and ran the harness to sensors.

Lost this banjo bolt and washers for the evening

All these auto trans pigtails suck compared to a manual...

But atleast alls not lost...

I was hoping that they would show the before and after results of the injectors. Looks like it was a big improvement overall. I need to get mine sent off eventually and have them done.
You will want to coat the tank when done cleaning it. Take an air hose to it when it dries and you will see a red dust cloud come out of there. It is fine as flour.
Wont be long and you will have this running. Keep up the great work.

Looking good chris. Im glad the hotsy got it all cleaned out. Those things work wonders. I used mine at the shop to clean my upper intake last fall.
Your interior is seriously unmolested and clean!
You keep posting those pictures of the tasty MORELS and its making me want to skip out on work and go find some!! MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Ordered a fuel pump kit off of Ebay last night. Hope its a worth a $h!t.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/US-Motor-Works-USEP8023-Electric-Fuel-Pump-/190834367181?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3A4Runner&hash=item2c6e9d5acd&vxp=mtr
Its made by US motorworks. I was undecided on what to get so i just picked one.I really wanted to get a better one but this will do for now.

So the fuel sending unit that came out of my runner tank is bad, totally rusted up and i have a good one out of a truck BUT it is only a 2wire one and the runner is a 3wire one cause it has the bada$$ low level light. If i cannot make one out of the two ill have to get another one, ive been looking on cl,ebay, and other online parts sources and cannot find one.I have found a couple 4runners being parted out but cannot get a hold of the owners. Im going to call some junkyards today. I never worked with a tank with so much rust in it!!
On a second note ive been debating on a spartan locker for the rear or using a elocker toyota with the manual cable conversion. Pretty sure the spartan would be the easier route.
Also am going to install a cobra power inverter with two 110v, usb port, digital readout, and a cb.
Im also going to kyleb's today to try and get the trim off his runners top, is bad anyways due to being rolled and messed up. The black metal trim is what im after.
I wonder if his fuel setup on his 85 is the same as my 89??
