I put one of these wheel spacers on and it allows the sr5 wheel with the 17s to clear but doesent seem like it allows enough wheel stud to grab now with the lugs...only about three revolutions and theyre getting tight.hmmmmmm??

I bet if you would get the lug nuts that have a long shaft with washer on them, those would work. It would allow for the longer shaft to down in the spacer. Plus that looks like the kind of lug those sr5 rims take.

I always replace that stupid allen head bolt with a Hex head. I dont think that I have ever taken one off that didnt get trashed in the process.

Those band clamps are sketchy. I have them on my 85 as well. I have been slowly replacing them as I am afraid they will fail when I am unprepared.

i wouldnt use those wheel spacers.... the better ones to use are the ones with holes for the existing studs to and new studs to go to the wheel..... other than that keep up the good work

Had time to do a few things on the runner. Found out my radiator that came with the runner (with tranny cooler)has a huge hole on the bottom of the lower outlet. Found 2 other radiators(for man trans of course)one has plastic tanks that was out of a 90s truck that the lower mount holes didnt line up on the radiator support so i used the other one which fit great. I will also transfer the auto shroud over.

Did some solder/heatshrink electrical on the harness and reinstalled that with the ecm.I dabbed a little dielectric grease on the harness plugs. Also fixed a harness connector that i pulled the terminals out of.

Still need to send off the injectors and then i install the upper intake, also need to use one of the three tps's and install on the throttle body.

Seems like everyone sends them out to witchhunter and have good results with him. Thats where I will most likely send mine when the time comes for the new motor.

Hey bro, dunno if you got the spacer problem fixed. but i do know (like on my truck.) that the wheel spacers have extra lugs. so you put in the spacer and you use your nuts to bolt it down and the spacer should have 6 more bolts on that. which means you dont use your current studs to mount on your tire. Then again that spacer you have looks small. i do know that one the 1.5" ones to like the 3" ones that i used they do have that set up.

Cool, i will check out witchhunter, today is a great day to be inside and mess around in the house. Cold and raining, and im out of firewood for the stove, so no heat. Plus all the wood lying around my house from dead trees is WET!

Redeth005, the spacers i have are only 3/8 wide and are not the style your describing. These simply fit between and you still use your existing wheel studs to attach the wheel. I can make these work by using a different style of lugnut. It did give me the clearance i needed but i really dont like using spacers.
