Finished my lift on the front, Moog balljoints, sdori spacers, and i ordered the deluxe diff drop kit from 4crawler which includes swaybar drop too. Dont know how long it will take to ship but hopefully this week so i can drop in the engine and bolt it up to the transmission. Ive also put on some 08 tacoma sr5 wheels with 275 85 17 hankook dynapros.

Looking forward to the pics. I was thinking of switching to the 16 inch rims but those are getting harder to find tires for and now I think the 17 inch tires are on the chopping block as well. I do like the looks of the newer rims Toyota has on some of their trucks. Sounds like things are moving along great for you.

Thanks for the info kelvin...

Yea Terry i dont really like the fact of having to buy 17 inch tires but the wheels do look good. I can always fall back on my 15s if i want.

Talked to 4 crawler yesterday and my parts were shipped so hopefully be here this week to finish the frontend, much easier installing the diff drop with the engine out.

Im going to try to follow the alignment procedure on 4crawler or sdori website cause i know if i take it to the local TO HAAS alignment shop the dude will scratch his head and spout off some crap like......"DAAAAAAAAAAAAAA dat was stoooopid puttin spacers on your balljoints, im not garuteein anytang and im gonna have to charge ya more" EEEEEEEEEEDIOTSSS!!!!!

UPS showing up at the door is always a good thing. Nice looking 84 and looks to be in great condition as well.

Thanks Terry...i wouldnt say great condition, but by far not too bad for an 84 in nebraska. I would like to see a 3.4 w toyota powertrain behind it instead of chevy myself but thats just my opinion.

Weather is picking up!! Getting warmer!! Means motivation to work on my rigs!!

I'll ask around if anyone's interested. Maybe I can convert another person to the Yota side of life.

So the brown truck showed up with my diff drop and swaybar drop. I removed the old bolts on the backside of the diff so it pivots on the front downward and installed the drop. Took about 45min by myself, didnt install the swaybar drop yet cause im gonna try and replace the bushings, get the rust off it, and paint it. Just a comment... do i really need my swaybar?? Im gonna be doing highway driving and mild offroading so im thinking it wouldnt hurt to have it. Ive seen disconnects made out of s.s. turnbuckles (simple to make) which i may do in the future. The diff drop and swaybar drop was $35 and was impressed with 4day shipping from cali to nebraksa. I will continue to do business with 4crawler.

So this was the last step i wanted to due before installing the engine (cause its way easier to get to diff with engine out!!) so now the engine is ready to install and the weather is getting warmer!! I plan on getting it in this weekend and i still havent found my sony cable for my camera so everyone can rant about no pics still.

I don't have any swaybar links attached. The bar is there just no links. It has some body roll but not too bad on the road.

I need to come down and see this thing in person.

Yea ive given up on finding my sony cable so im getting one off ebay for like $6 plus shipping, so ill post a buncha pics to get everyone caught up.

I was bummed out to find the 05 sr5 wheels with the hankooks slightly rub on the fronts where the widest part of the inner tire SLIGHTLY rubs on the UCA. I guess i could do some grinding or switch to a skinnier tire setup.

I ordered more parts from rock last night, plug wires, t body gasket, oil filter for the 97 runner and my harley, pcv valve, and exhaust flange to pipe gaskets (2).The gasket i really NEED is the egr crossover plate, but when i went to order it the shipping location was different and they wanted like $12 to ship a $3 gasket!!! So i might just get that one from local napa. I have a used one on the bench but dont what a chance of it failing do to the location of where its at after the engines installed. (what flows through that?? ex gas, coolant, oil??? NOOB question haha)

I also noticed rock sells the spartan locker!! cool!!

Anyone ever ran airtex fuel pumps?? Opinions??

Check amazon for the cable too. Ebay people can be flaky sometimes. Also keep the tires on those wheels and use spacers.

That is to bad about the tire rubbing. A lesson I learned the hard way is when swapping tires or rims is to do a full turn to turn and make sure they dont rub or worse yet, do any damage. I get to fix a mudflap do to wide of a tire. grrr,
