Had an idea for the trailer to make it really high class... pull out the cheesy vinyl floor and put in some hardwood laminate... if you use the thinner [cheaper] stuff the weight gain would be nil to minimal at best and you'd get a hard wearing surface with a lot of pimp factor for your mobile shag shack...

hey mark. yeah, i'm good. just a li'l peeved that my headers won't be coming in for another month+

shag-swag, eh? i'm going to get the cheapest stuff they have at habitat re-store. they usually have great deals on stuff, and it's not like i'm trying to match anything. i'll be re-doing the cushions, benches, counter-top, and table sometime, so i'll make sure to show y'all what's in store.

Right on...... Yeah, I'm STILL looking for one that's not a total money pit. I've found 2 that were under 800$ and MIGHT have been worth the hard labor they needed..... but NAHHHH! lol. I'll wait and find a cherry one for 1200$ or so or just find one that needs mostly bolt on work that's already had the roof done! lol. (Not 1200$ as a fixed price/set price in my mind... just saying, ya kwim? lol)

actually, when i changed the oil, the leak got better (less leaking). so now it's just like a drip a day. i'll tighten up the bolts later this week. also, i'll be working on the trailer wiring, and hopefully the roof this week/end

Going back to the SR5'ers? What happened? Just curious if the Stang Seats, over time, kinda rubbed ya wrong, so to speak, lol. ???

the 'stang seats aren't meant for someone tall (6-2). i had the split bench before the stangs, which was just too uncomfortable for long trips. these sr5's are nice, and have minimal wear. i sat in the driver's seat, and it is soooooooo cuuuuushy. now i know why people like them so much

Ahhhh! Ok, well, that's why I mentioned in my build and seat threads, "The 2nd Gen SR5 seats are NOT for me.... far too narrow... but for MANY guys, especially those that are more normal/-to-/thin build.... TOTALLY would work for ya".... especially in the rump, in which they are SOOOOOOOOO much more comfortable on long trips than almost any seat I've sat in(save my friends S90 Volvo, another friends A12 Audi and another friends LS450 Lexus--->>>HOLY CRAPULA, now those are CUSHHHHH! lol.)

Anyway, RIGHT ON, IAN! Good score.... another "steal" as they say?

kinda sorta. a bit higher than other people on here paid for their seats, but i talked the guy down a bit, and gave him my old tube steps. he seemed happy at that, and said if i ever needed anything else, just call. heh, made a new friend.

on a side note, i know where all the toyota parts go. the hispanics buy the beat up trucks and raid the junk yards, but then revive a few trucks. when i showed up, he was making one yota out of three piles of rust. any part he had duplicates of, he sells, like the seats. then he sells the complete truck for a decent sum. interesting... today i learned something new...

Hahhhhhhh, .... you should see the yards here in L.A.!!!!!! They RAPE them, every day, paying off the other buddies they have that work there. it INFURIATES the majority of the NORMAL people who have to work for a living but want to restore/fix rigs for money in their spare time... But hey, can't blame em for going all out for what they want, I suppose. NOT SO funny thing is, ...they TAKE EVERY SINGLE THIRD MEMBER that gets to those yards before they EVER see a paying customer! (the visiting home boys do, I'm saying)..... They also take all the injectors, usually by unbolting the easier ones on the V6 and then BREAKING the intake free at the last couple, just so they can reach them and get them out... They do NOT care what they're destroying... NOW THAT pisses me off! They could at least take SOME control over their yards, ya know? I guess not, they're SO BIG out here.... here's the view from the sky, lol>>>>

Anyway, sorry, ...back to your regularly awesome yet not always scheduled and often challenging program! hahaha.

super easy. the part numbers are there, and you just need to buy 3/8" fuel line and hose clamps from the parts store. took me less than 30 mins, and most of that time was spent wiping off dirt and tightening the clamps
