and 2 things that'll help me in the future:
1) the placement on the bumper will let me see the whole thing, so i know if it's gonna hit anything (or if it's still there)
2) i put a label in the cab, on the microphone itself, with the height. 7' 10" (after printing out the label, i noticed it was the 710 cap text)

that's what string is for
with it being so flexible, i can tie it down even with the cab. if need be, i can take it off, too. when i had the bed cap on, i only hit in one garage (it was in dc, under the regan building) and that was just on one of the bars.

That "ground" wire on that antenna isn't actually a ground wire. It's some sort of attenuator. Instruction should be on the package. Off-hand I don't remember what it does. I didn't need to use it though. I've hit parking garages with mine numerous times without issue. These antennas are a heck of alot more resilient then people give them credit for.

Bridge.. a natural or man made structure for crossing over natural or man made obstructions such as valleys, rivers, railways, roads etc...
"Used Bridge" in this case was a reference to the classic, often sold, Brooklyn Bridge in NYC.
The implied meaning was "if you believe brown will get it to you by 5pm thursday, you're also rube enough to buy a bridge [sight unseen]...
it was meant to be a snarky comment on the quality of brown's service... LOL

Around here brown is usually pretty good too but you need to add a day or two to whatever they promise... like if they promise by 5pm tues. they might come at 12 noon the next day... or else try to deliver after 5:30pm on the tues. when you've already closed the office and gone home...

<<< It'll be GREAT to hear that, next! Best wishes no the Trailer work, til then
